concrete slab with thick-
ened perimeter edges to
be 8” in total slab depth
and 12” from all exterior
edges. Concrete to be a
“6 sac” mix design with
fiber mesh additive. Steel
6x6x10 W.W.F to be in-
stalled in the entire slab
at mid depth of concrete.
Surface finish to be a light
broom finish with control
joints to be Soft cut at
maximum spacing of ten
foot intervals in both di-
rections. Approximately
twenty cubic yards of ¾”
gravel will be needed to
establish a 2” slope from
back to front. A two inch
PVC conduit will need to
be installed twelve inches
below grade for possible
future utilities with an es-
timated length of 46 feet

Trust Foundation, is now
accepting applications
for the 2019 grant period.
Categories for qualifying
groups or projects are liter-
ary, historical preservation,
visual and performing arts
or humanities and cultural
organizations.
In previous years,
grants were awarded for
projects that included
5K run to
be held
writing festivals, histor-
ical books, art programs
in schools, quilting, kid’s
activities for parks, drama
and musical workshops and
art displays. Grants can be
awarded up to 50 percent
of the total project cost. For

The Step High Cow
Pie 5K run will be held
Saturday, June 8 at the
LDS Church in Lexington
beginning at 8:30 a.m. Reg-
istration will begin at 7:45
a.m. with a $10 entry fee.
The 5K run, a fundrais-
er for the Heppner wrestling
team, will include a trail run
through cow pastures and
sagebrush. Obstacles such
as tires, hay bales, a balance
beam, hurdles and an army
crawl through a clean and
dry tunnel will be included,
although skipping them is
an option. The run will also
go through a culvert under
Highway 74.
Fun prizes and refresh-
ments will be included and
