viduals wanting to serve
on the Parks Committee.
Positions open at this time
are: (1)Willow Creek Park
District – appointed by the
Willow Creek Park District
Board, (2)Park User Group
– Representing Equestrian
Use, (3)Park User Group –
representing Hunting and
Camping who shall be a
Morrow County Resident.
Committee members shall
become familiar with the
tourism, economic devel-
opment, operations, stan-
dards and financing needs
of the Morrow County
Parks Department. Com-
mittee members shall
provide advisory recom-
mendations only to the
Morrow County Board of
Commissioners and Public
Works Director as to the
management, marketing
and improvements of Mor-
row County Parks. These
recommendations
shall
follow all County policies
and consider all budgetary
needs. Requests for ap-
pointment shall be present-
ed to the Public Works De-
partment in writing by the
candidate. Public Works
shall provide these to the
Morrow County Parks
Committee and Morrow
County Board of Commis-
sioners for approval and
appointment. The letter(s)
of interest shall be in letter
form containing complete
information
regarding
qualifications and reasons
for interest in Committee
membership. The letter
shall be signed and dated
by the applicant. Mem-
bership shall consist of:
(a) a person representing
the Boardman Parks Dis-
trict Board that shall be a
member of and appointed
by the Boardman Parks
District (b) a person rep-
resenting the Irrigon Parks
District Board that shall be
a member of and appointed
by the Irrigon Park District
(c) a person representing
the Willow Creek Park
District representing Hep-
pner, Ione, Lexington that
shall be a member of and
appointed by the Willow
Creek Park District Board
(d) a person represent-
ing the Morrow County
Public Works Department
representing the Morrow
County Public Works De-
partment (e) a person rep-
resenting the Umatilla Na-
tional Forest Service this
person shall be from the
Heppner Ranger District
(f) four individuals to serve
as Park User/At Large who
shall be Morrow County
resident representing the
following Park User/At
Large Sub Groups (1) Mo-
torized (ATV, snowmobile,
jeep, etc) (2) Equestrian
(3) Hiking/Biking (hiking
or bicycling) (4) Hunting/
Camping. These nine indi-
viduals shall constitute the
membership of the Mor-
row County Parks Com-
mittee who shall serve a
three year term on a ro-
tating basis with appoint-
ments taking place each
year. Committee members
shall provide to Morrow
County Public Works and
the Morrow County Board
of Commissioners ongoing
assistance in setting policy,
budgeting and prioritizing
projects associated with
Morrow County Parks.

The SAGE Center in Boardman has announced the schedule of events for the
month of April.
April 13 is SAGE Saturday with FREE admission and a kite-making activity (while
supplies last). There will be free admission all day, open to close.
The April movie event will show “Bumblebee,” April 19 at 7:15 p.m. and April 20
at 2:15 p.m. The movie is a fundraiser for RJSHS Nationals Kid Wind team and admis-
sion is $3 per person.
