Thank you to everyone
who rallied to the fire at the
Bennett Ranch on Hinton
Creek last Tuesday. There
are not enough words to
express our gratitude to ev-
eryone who brought equip-
ment to fight the flames
that raced across the hills
in the heat and wind. We
are still shaking our heads
in disbelief that there were
no structures lost to the fire
on Hinton Creek. Thank
you to the firemen on the
Heppner Volunteer Fire
Department and to all the
districts that came to aide
Heppner from Helix, Pend-
leton, Pilot Rock, Stan-
field, Hermiston, Board-
man, Ione, East Umatilla,
Monument, Condon and
Lexington. We were over-
whelmed with the com-
munity members, friends,
family and neighbors that
helped anywhere there was
a need.. Thank you to all

Responders, ODOT, Mor-
row County Road Dept,
Morrow County Sheriffs
Dept and Columbia Basin
Electric for their parts in
keeping everyone safe.
