Fire and Rescue would like
to thank all of our Broth-
ers from Morrow County,
Umatilla County, Gilliam
County, ODF and USFS
that came to help us with
our large fire last week.
There were also several
private entities that brought
equipment, cats, road grad-
ers, tractors with discs,
tenders, small engines to
spray water and the people
that manually fought by
hand. We greatly appre-
ciate all you did to help.
We also thank ODOT, MC
Road Dept and MCSO for
keeping the roads passable
and safe for us. We then
get to this community, it
was a great surprise to get
the food and beverages de-
livered out to all of us and
left at the fire hall. We had
some very grateful fire-
fighters when they came in
to get more water they also
got a sandwich and a cold
drink. This is another ex-
ample why we love it here,
no one was asked to do it
everyone just came and
helped. The fire burnt ap-
proximately 20,000 acres
and NOT one structure
was lost and no one was
injured. Thank you ALL
again from a grateful Fire
Department.
