For Public/Legal Notices: public/legal notices deadline is Monday at 5 p.m. Dates for pub-
lication must be specified. Affidavits must be required at the time of submission. Affidavits
require three weeks to process after last date of publication (a sooner return date must be
specified if required).
For Obituaries: Obituaries are published in the Heppner GT at no charge and are edited to
meet news guidelines. Families wishing to include information not included in the guidelines
or who wish to have the obituary written in a certain way must purchase advertising space
for the obituary.
For Letters to the Editor: Letters to the Editor MUST be signed by the author. The Heppner
GT will not publish unsigned letters. All letters MUST include the author’s address and phone
number for use by the GT office. The GT reserves the right to edit letters. The GT is not
responsible for accuracy of statements made in letters. Any letters expressing thanks will
be placed in the classifieds under “Card of Thanks” at a cost of $10.

Twenty-six golfers
played on Sunday, July 8
at Willow Creek Country
Club. The two-man event
consisted of three nine-hole
rounds, with the formats of
a scramble, chapman and
alternating shot.
Low net was Ralph
Walker and Rick Johnston
with a score of 80 and sec-
ond place went to Jeff and
John Edmundson with 85.5.
Low gross went to Der-
ek Gunderson and Charlie
Ferguson with a 94 and
second to Josh Coiner and
John McCabe with 95.
Mike Doherty got KP
on hole number five.
The next men’s play
will be held Sunday, July 15
and will be hosted by Bill
Morris, Delbert Binschus
and Steve Marlatt.

on June 11. According to
a spokesperson, weather
and course conditions were
excellent.

was Barry Munkers and Jim
Doherty with 76, Ron Bow-
man in fifth with 77 and
John Boyer in eighth with
81. Net was Jim Swanson
in fourth with 66.
-Blue Division (hand-
icap 18 to 23) gross was
John Edmundson in third
with 86, Gary Watkins in
seventh with 91 and Steve
Marlatt in eighth with 94.
Net was Dale Boyd in
fourth with 67.
-Senior Division (hand-
icap 24 and above) gross
was Roger Ehrmantraut,
fourth with 97 and a tie for
fifth was Dave Creswick
and Bill Morris with 98. Net
in seventh place was Ralph
Walker with 75 and eighth
was Tom Martin with 76.
The next CBSGA tour-
nament will be at the Bea-
con Rock Golf Course in
North Bonneville, WA on
July 9. Registration for the
special play at the Indian
Creek Golf Course at Hood
River on Oct. 1 will contin-
ue at the sign up table.

ter, Norah Jean Heath.
Norah was born April
25, 2018 at 6:15 a.m.
at St. Anthony’s Hos-
pital in Pendleton. She
weighed 7 pounds,
9 ounces and was 20
inches long.
Norah joins her
big sister Jorie Lynn
Heath.

be held for Willie Maddern,
Heppner, on July 14 at 1
p.m. at the Morrow County
Fairgrounds in Heppner.
Maddern was born
Sept. 1, 1950 in Loma Lin-
da, CA and passed away on
May 21, 2018 at OHSU.
He is survived by his wife
Sally; two sons, Jeremy
and Jody; six grandchildren
and numerous nieces and
nephews.

Church will hold Vacation
Bible School Monday, July

STF Advisory committee
meeting on July 17 at 3 p.m.
at the Boardman City Hall,

of the order.
Following the STF Ad-
visory committee meeting,
there will be a meeting of
the Statewide Transpor-
tation Improvement Fund
(STIF). This meeting is for
the organization of an ad-
visory committee for STIF.
This advisory committee
will be responsible for dis-
bursing funds as per ODOT
rules and regulations that

day, June 16 in the Spokane
Arena.
Rebecca is the daughter
of Bill and Nancy Jepsen of
Heppner and a 2012 grad-
uate of Ione High School.
Rebecca and Richard are
both employed as physical
therapists at Wallowa Me-
morial Hospital in Enter-
prise, OR.
LCAC meeting
rescheduled
