Morrow County is now
accepting applications for
a full time Human Re-
sources Director OR Hu-
man Resources Manager,
depending on qualifica-
tions, located in Heppner.
Position is an integral
member of the County
Management Team deal-
ing with all aspects of Hu-
man Resources. This is a
full-time, exempt position.
Morrow County has a pop-
ulation of 12,000, includ-
ing four (4) incorporated
cities and one (1) town.
Agriculture and natural
resources remain a driv-
ing forces in the economy.
Other growing industries
add to the diversity of the
economy including: food
processing, energy genera-
tion, tourism and data cen-
ters. The Columbia River
is the northern boundary of
Morrow County
affording recreational op-
portunities, including fish-
ing and water sports.
The southern part of the
county is forested provid-
ing hunting, fishing, ATV,
hiking and numerous other
recreational opportunities.
Morrow County boasts
excellent schools with a
variety of extra-curricular
activities such as drama,
athletics, music, and out-
door recreation.
The
Board of Commissioners
is comprised of three (3)
nonpartisan, energetic and
engaged local residents.
Well-developed consen-
sus-building and commu-
nication skills are vital,
and experience working
closely and successfully
with elected officials is
highly desirable.
Human Resources Direc-
tor: BS in Human Re-
sources, Public Adminis-
tration or related field and
three years of public sector
Human Resources experi-
ence. Additional Human
Resources experience may
be substituted for degree.
Salary range $6,344 -
$8,927 per month, depend-
ing on education and expe-
rience, plus
excellent benefits.

ager: Associate Degree in
Human Resources, Public
Administration, or related
field and two years of pub-
lic sector Human Resourc-
es experience. Salary range
$4,509 - $6,344 per month,
depending on education
and experience ence, plus

of science in education at the commencement exercises
held June 16 at Western Oregon University.
According to the news release, more than 1,000 gradu-
ates were scheduled to participate in the commencement
ceremony, a number that continues to grow each year.
