12 at 5 p.m. to the Morrow
County Public Works office
in Lexington. Applicants
will be selected by a draw
and reviewed at Morrow
County court. For more

Thursday, Nov. 9 at 10:30
a.m., Veteran’s Day Pro-
gram at the Heppner High
School Gymnasium. This
program is hosted by Hep-
pner High School and will
honor local veterans for
their service to our coun-
try. The public is invited
to attend.
Thursday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m.
and Saturday, Nov. 11 at 4
p.m., Heppner Jr./Sr. High
School Drama will present
“How I Met Your Mummy”
in the high school cafeteria.
Admission is $2.
Friday, Nov. 10 – Jan.
12, nominations will be
accepted for Heppner
Chamber’s Annual Town
and Country Community
Awards. Pick up nomi-
nation forms at the Bank
of Eastern Oregon, Hep-
pner Chamber, Community
Bank and the Post Office
and submit the nominations
forms for Man and Woman
of the Year, Business of the
Year, Youth Award, Citi-
zen-Educator of the Year
and Lifetime Achievement
Award. The nomination
forms can be dropped off
at Kuhn Law Office or the
Heppner Chamber of Com-
merce or emailed to hep-
pnerchamber@centurytel.

Town and Country event
will be held on Thursday,
Feb. 8 at the Morrow Coun-
ty Fairgrounds.
Monday, Nov. 20 –
Thursday, Dec. 14, the Re-
wards Cards program starts
for shopping local. Start
collecting your rewards
cards when you shop local
at participating businesses.
The denominations are $10,
$20 and $50 and cannot be
given on payments to ac-
counts. Bring your family
and come out to spend a
great evening on Thursday,
Dec. 14 and spend your
rewards cards on prizes that
have been donated by local
and out of town merchants.
There will be pictures with
Santa, a dinner available for
purchase and Scrooge will
also be there. Contact the

Concert with Christopher
Duffley. This event is being
sponsored by Community
Counseling Solutions and
will be held at Heppner

Chamber Board decided to
move the annual luncheon
to Jan. 18 instead of right
after the holidays. Mark

taken out of his shop or
another outbuilding next to
his shop. As far as RP knew,
both buildings were locked
but he may have forgotten
to lock them up because the
locks were not broken.

the old swimming pool, S
Main St, Heppner regard-
ing a vehicle parked in no
overnight parking area for
a couple of days. Owner
contacted and will move
the vehicle.
-MCSO received a re-
port from Irrigon High
School on SE Wyoming
Ave, Irrigon of a dog out-
side activity door. School
advised owner was located
and dog is no longer there.
-MCSO received a re-
port at Cornerstone Gallery
and Gift on N Main St, Hep-
pner of a stray dog, gray
and black cow dog type,
no collar or tags, appears to
be hungry and has matted
fur. Dog transported to Pet
Rescue.
-MCSO received a re-
port at Bunker Hill Ln/Hwy
74, Heppner that she was
backed into on the highway
when a pickup stopped in
the middle of the road and
started going backwards.
-MCSO was advised of
a fight in progress on NE
Twelfth St, Irrigon. Verbal
only. RP requested the male
be trespassed.
-EMS responded to
Heppner Grade School on
NW Stansbury St, Heppner
for a 14 year-old female
with an allergic reaction.
Transported.
-MCSO received a
report at Columbia Riv-
er Ranch on Kunze Ln,
Boardman of a 47 year old
male subject that walked
away from Columbia River
ranch yesterday at 1200
and hasn’t been seen since.
Medical issues of schizo-
phrenia, diabetic, no meds
with him, can’t take care of
himself, not aggressive. No
family or friends in the area
for him to go to.
-MCSO received an
anonymous report to advise
that an elderly male with
Alzheimer’s is living at a
residence and it is in hor-
rible condition. Residence
smells of urine and feces,
requesting a welfare check
on the male. Transported.
-MCSO responded to
a motor vehicle accident
on I 84 E, Boardman. Car
flipped several times. Pa-
tient transported to GSH.
October 20: Morrow
County Sheriff’s Office re-
ceived a request to contact
person in regards to a blue
2010 Dodge that was repo’d
months back. Requested
to make contact with the
owner to see if he got the
vehicle back from the bank
or if he wants to report it
stolen.
-MCSO received a re-
port on SE Fourth St, Ir-
rigon of persons at the resi-
dence and nobody should
be there.
-MCSO received a re-
port from Cleaver Farms
on Paterson Ferry Rd, Irri-
gon of a small cargo trailer
found on the property, sin-
gle 4-wheeler type, home-
made, no numbers.
-MCSO received a re-
port at NW Church ST/NW
Gale St, Heppner of three
barking dogs across from
the Methodist church.
-MCSO received a
report on Blue Jay Rd,
Heppner of an abandoned
4-wheeler up at Blake’s
Ranch.
-MCSO received a re-
port on Hwy 74 Lena, Hep-
pner that there was a male
subject that he witnessed
shoot a buck from the road
on Hwy 74. Advised it was
a newer F150 either brown
or gray in color. Advised
that the buck got stuck in
some barb wire, so subject
may still be out there. Un-
able to locate.
-MCSO received a re-
port on California Ln, Ir-
rigon of a possible stolen
vehicle. He left the vehicle
at the address to be repos-
sessed but has discovered
it never was according to
the bank.

rigon that ID cards were
found in an abandoned
vehicle on his property.

Ione Community Clinic will be closed on
Friday, November 10th for Veterans Day.

Pioneer Memorial Hospital will also be
closed that day for non-emergent outpatient
