GUESTS
-Continued from PAGE ONE
or one shared lagoon. Lex-
ington council members all
agreed that sharing costs
would be beneficial for all
three cities and would like
to participate.
Representatives from
the Rebekah Lodge attend-
ed the meeting to finalize
an agreement on utilities for
the Freedom Park. Council
members all agreed that the
proposal stating the lodge
would be responsible for
the electricity to run the
sprinklers and the base
amount of the water bill,
with the city paying any
water overage amounts,
was acceptable. Everyone
commented on how inviting
the park looks and that it
looks more like a park since
the sign has been moved out
near the street.
Ed Dickenson, city
maintenance manager, and
Janette Eldrige, city record-
er, reported that the back
flow testing has been done.
Notices have been sent to
residents that are in viola-
tion letting them know that
their water will be shut off if
the necessary repairs are not
completed by a certain date.
There was further dis-
cussion regarding needing
dirt for the FEMA park
so grass can be planted. A
workday for doing the prep
work in the park was sched-
uled for 2 p.m. on Oct. 22.
Everyone is invited to bring
their rakes and shovels to
help get everything done
before winter.
Ione Library
District to hold

The Ione Library District will hold its monthly meet-
ing on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 6:00 p.m. in the Ione Public
Library, 385 W 2 nd St, Ione. The public is welcome to
