Oswego, OR, passed away
Wednesday, Oct. 11 at his
home.
A graveside service
will be held Friday, Oct. 27
at 2 p.m. at Heppner Ma-
sonic Cemetery, Heppner.
A meal and celebration of
life will be held at the Hep-
pner Elks Lodge following
the graveside service.
This is Mike Lott’s
story. Mike was a wonder-
ful man and will be missed
dearly. He had a passion
for classic cars, hot rods,
and a love for the game of
golf. He was a golf medal-
ist on the high school golf
team and enjoyed sharing
his passion of the game
with his children. Mike was
also a gifted artist and could
sketch, design, draw, and
paint virtually anything. He
was extremely creative and
was very ingenious.
Mike was born on Au-
gust 18, 1961, in Portland,
OR, the middle child to
Randolph E. Lott and Ber-
nice L. Lott. He grew up in
Heppner and had a strong
work ethic. He was an as-
piring business man from a
young age, strongly influ-
enced by his father. By the
age of 15 he started his own
lawn mowing and cleaning
business with a high school
friend. In his late teens, a
local auto body owner and
Lott’s Electric employee,
sparked Mike’s interest in
fast cars. Unbeknownst to
his parents, Mike built a
motor for his ’67 Camaro in
the basement of their home.
A family member stated,
“By golly, was Randy sur-
prised.”
After graduating from
Heppner High School,
Mike attended Blue Moun-
tain Community College.
While attending college,
Mike had an auto repair
hobby in Lexington, which
soon developed into a suc-
cessful auto body repair
business, Lexington Auto
Body. He was the own-
er operator of Lexington
Auto Body until 1987. He
married Shelly Biddle and
moved to Pendleton where
he was employed at Pend-
leton Auto Body and taught
auto repair night classes at
Blue Mountain Community
College.
In 1987, their son
Lance was born, 3 years
later in 1990 their daughter
Jenessa joined the family.
He was a devoted father
who supported his children
in their activities. Mike
eventually expanded his ca-
reer path and was owner of
Property Damage Apprais-
ers in Pendleton. He later
moved to Portland and was
the quality control produc-
tion manager at Leif’s Auto
Collision Repair.
Mike is survived by his
son Lance Lott of Pendle-
ton, daughter Jenessa Lott
of Bend, mother Bernice
L. Lott and a sister Patti
Pappas both of Heppner.
He was preceded in death
by his dad Randy Lott and
a brother Don Lott.

A funeral service will be held
on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the
Ione Community Church at 11
a.m. with concluding service
and burial to follow at High
View Cemetery in Ione.
He was born Nov. 9, 1935
at Heppner, the son of Marion
and Geneva Pettyjohn Palmer.
Lee was raised and at-
tended school at Ione where
he graduated from Ione High
School in 1954. He farmed
in the Ione area for most of
his life. On Feb. 26, 1956 he
married Mary Ann Jensen at
Heppner. The couple made
their home at Ione where they
raised four daughters,
He was a member of the
Ione Community Church,
where he served as deacon at
one time, the Willow Grange
where he served as Master
and Assistant Steward for
several years, and served as
president of Small Woodlands
for several years. Lee was also
a member of the Cattleman’s
Association, Sheep Growers
Association, Wool Growers
Board.
He en-

grandchil-
dren and
attending
their ac-
tivities and

Lee is survived by his
wife Mary Ann Palmer, daugh-
ters; Barb Zeller and her hus-
band Norm, Donna Rietmann
and her husband Joe, Debora
Wood and her husband Dan,

band David, 9 grandchildren
and 7 great-grandchildren. He
was preceded in death by his
parents.

ster for garbage collection will be available at the city
yard on Riverside Ave from Oct. 14 through Oct. 22. A
spot will be available for yard debris and burnable mate-
rial, but the city will not accept tires, hazardous waste or
household chemicals.
