Heppner Day Care and
Infant Center is hiring a
multi-site Director. The di-
rector will oversee the day-
to-day operations of both
child care centers. Director
will be responsible for set-
ting the tone for the facil-
ity, managing the curricu-
lum, overseeing physical
facilities, and managing
the overall image of the
center. Director will ensure
compliance with all local
and federal laws governing
child care. Director will
be expected to attend staff
and parent meetings, assist
in goals for teaching staff,
keep accurate records, cre-
ate and send invoices, con-
duct interviews and review
qualifications of all new
staff being hired, manage
the work schedules and
performance of staff, assist
in ordering and purchas-
ing materials. Knowledge
of developmentally ap-
propriate practices in early
childhood, strong group
management skills, ef-
fective organization and
planning skills and effec-
tive interpersonal skills are
required. Associate’s or
Bachelor’s degree in early
child care or education pre-
ferred. Must obtain CPR
and First Aid certificates,
prior experience working
with children in a teach-
ing position or administer-
ing child care, must pass
background check and
complete ongoing training.
