Heppner Gazet e 541-676-9228 Monday at 5pm 98% Angels perform July 3 at Irrigon Marina Park The singing duo 98% Angels will perform for the Music in the Parks outdoor summer concert series at 7 p.m. on July 3 at the Irrigon Marina Park, located off Highway 730 in Irrigon. 98% Angels, otherwise known as Marie Rose and Renate Meakins, first met and began singing together in 1998 in the Blue Jazz Choir Ensemble while at- tending Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, OR. Since then, the duo has performed in shows around the area such as the Irrigon Watermelon Festival, Umatilla Landing Days, the Hermiston Vari- ety Show and the Amboy Territorial Days. The ladies also volunteer their time singing in local assisted living homes. The style of music they perform ranges from 1930s standards, Big Band Swing music, hits of the 50s and the 60s, and popular contemporary and country tunes. Also during the show that evening, the Music in the Parks Commit- tee will be honoring all lo- cal veteran’s in attendance. The Music in the Parks concert series is held each summer alternating be- tween Boardman and Ir- rigon Marina Parks. The concerts are free to the public and begin at 7 p.m. on Mondays through Aug. 14. Visitors are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. Concessions will be avail- able for purchase at the event, courtesy of Judy’s Chuck Wagon. The Music in the Parks series is funded by the Morrow County Uni- fied Recreation District and Portland General Electric and sponsored by the North Morrow Community Foun- dation. MCSO responded and the subjects were given a courtesy ride. -A subject reported to Irrigon Justice Court that their ex was supposed to return the debit card on Monday but just made a $400 after skipping town. It was determined to be a civil problem. -MCSO was advised of a male and female fighting in Boardman; it had been physical. -An RP in Irrigon re- quested contact regarding an incident that happened yesterday or the day before. The RP advised he was not home, but a juvenile came to his house and argued with his step-son. They fought and broke the door. -An RP in Irrigon ad- vised his neighbor was outside of his house yelling at him about his dogs. RP advised she had gone back over to her house. A deputy responded—no crime, ar- gument over dogs. -MCSO arrested An- gelique Kettlewell on a warrant out of Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office. -An RP in Irrigon ad- vised their grandchild has run away the last couple nights and has returned home. That night he left a note. He is 16. -Emergency dispatch was advised of a 71-year- old oxygen patient in Boardman who had been sitting on the toilet for seven hours and couldn’t get off. The patient was transported. -MCSO was advised of a kid standing in the lane on I-84 east, Boardman with flashlight waving people over and RP almost hit them; advised kids are eight or nine years old. March 31: -An RP in Irrigon advised Morrow County Sheriff ’s Office that she was being harassed via social media; they were threatening her home. The RP requested contact and had questions about re- straining orders. -A deputy advised be- ing out in Heppner trying to catch a dog at large. The dog was returned to the owner and the owner warned for dog out again. -An RP in Irrigon ad- vised that her mother is trying to get past her to get into the kitchen to get a knife; possible suicide attempt. MCSO, Oregon State Police and Commu- nity Counseling Solutions responded and the subject was transported to Good Shepherd Hospital. -MCSO arrested Donald Lienol Baldwin, 51, on Benton County Warrants. -A male in Boardman ad- vised of a complaint about two ducks on a neighbor’s property. The ducks have never come over to RP’s property. RP did not want to do anything at that time. -A male RP on I-84 west, Boardman reported that from Tri-Cities to I-84 he followed a white Subaru with a middle-aged white male wearing a black, green and yellow beanie that was taking hits off a marijuana pipe. MCSO was unable to locate. -An RP in Irrigon advised there was a truck and trail- er is parked between Ninth and Tenth, which is against city code. Donald Eugene Ford, 42, was issued a ci- tation for Prohibited Com- mercial Parking. -A deputy check on a pos- sible disabled vehicle on Highway 74 Lena, Hep- pner. Two dogs and male sleeping in their vehicle. Sheriff’s Report March 16 (cont.): -An RP in Irrigon reported sev- eral items taken off his property over a period of months. Unknown who would have taken the items. RP had a list of the items stolen. -Morrow County Sher- iff’s Office was advised of a fight at Irrigon High School. The students were separated and the parents had been informed, but staff requested a deputy to respond as there had been a problem with one of the parents the week before. -A caller in Heppner ad- vised the boyfriend walked between two locations and a male subject had been following him every night at 10 p.m. The male subject was loitering around the property and showed up the night before with a knife that was folded, but did not threaten him. -An RP in Irrigon re- ported that the door to his shop was pried open and several items were taken; they were bigger items. He advised he was unsure of when it was done. RP was home for contact. -MCSO took a case for compulsory attendance at Irrigon High School. -A caller at Hwy. 74, Heppner reported that a white farm truck lost his dog out the back and the dog was running behind the rig. -MCSO was advised that Olivia West, 32, was lodged at Umatilla County Jail on a Umatilla County parole and probation deten- tion warrant on a Morrow County case. March 28: -A female in Boardman advised that a male subject was around her property and she would like an officer to check the area. -An RP in Heppner wanted to know his options about the neighborhood dogs running around and urinating on the rims of his vehicle. -Morrow County Sher- iff’s Office reported assist- ed Department of Human Services in Irrigon. -MCSO arrested David Mitchell James, 25, on a justice court warrant for Violation of Release Condi- tions/DWS. -MCSO was advised of a fight in progress at the Heppner Shell. William Ray Maddern, 67, was ar- rested for Harassment and released on his own recog- nizance. -A male in Boardman stated that there were peo- ple on the property he was renting cleaning out the canal and the RP requested contact regarding this be- cause he was afraid that because they were opening fences that his dogs would get out. The RP stated he just got back from court about his dogs killing goats before and he didn’t want them to get out again. MCSO at- tempted contact. -MCSO received a complaint about a male juvenile in Heppner taking the lights off a tree on Main Street. -Oregon State Police arrested Alphonso Mateo Aguilar, 53, on a Morrow County warrant. -MCSO was advised of a missing 16-year-old in Irrigon. Father and son got into an argument and the son took off. Father and son were pushing each other. Mother found son while on the phone. -A caller from Board- man advised he had a video of a person looking in his brother’s house; RP advised that the video is either from that day or the day before. March 29: -An RP in Irrigon reported a white male in all maroon clothes in the middle of the road and walked in front of her car and she had to slam on her brakes. Morrow County Sheriff’s Office was unable to locate the individual. -An RP in Heppner stated a subject was calling her repeatedly and harass- ing her. RP stated she was in the hospital with her son, and she will not stop. RP requested contact. -MCSO was advised that Michael J. Hawks was arrested on a Umatilla County warrant. -An RP in Boardman advised that someone was banging on his door at- tempting to fight him. -At 11:07 p.m. an RP in Heppner advised his eight- year-old daughter left with some friends to go to Herm- iston and hadn’t returned yet. The caller advised she was supposed to be home before 8 p.m. Juvenile re- turned home. -MCSO, Oregon State Police, Oregon Dept. of Transportation, Boardman Fire and Irrigon Fire re- sponded to a trailer on fire on I-84 west, Boardman. The fire was put out. -MCSO received report that an infant was locked in a car in Heppner. The caller was given information for a locksmith in the area. -MCSO arrested David Brian Taylor on a Morrow County Circuit Court War- rant for FTA/Conspiracy to Commit a Class B Felony and Theft III. -MCSO was advised that Robert J. McEwen, 52, was convicted of Making a False Claim for Health Care Payment x5 and Theft I x5. March 30: -An RP in Boardman advised that his neighbors, directly across the road from him, had too many animals for the amount of land they were on. RP advised their goats wore on his property, and he had to chase them off. RP requested phone contact. A Morrow County Sheriff’s deputy made contact with parties and provided infor- mation on animal density. -An RP in Irrigon ad- vised MCSO they had seen police at a residence, and were concerned about buy- ing items from the subject in case they may be stolen. A deputy contacted RP and advised of personal water craft information and to call if she needs to arrange a VIN inspection. -Oregon Dept. of Trans- portation dispatch reported one of their workers saw a subject walking alongside I-84 east; subject did not seem to be in right state of mind. No description was available. MCSO was un- able to locate. - Juan Rodriguez Pa- checo was arrested on a Morrow County Circuit Court warrant for Parole Violation/Criminal Tres- pass II. -MCSO received re- port of juveniles damaging basketball hoops at Hager Park in Heppner. MCSO took the incident under investigation. -An MCSO deputy was flagged down by a citizen at May and Chase in Heppner, who advised juveniles were playing on the bridge. The deputy responded but the juveniles were no longer there. -An MCSO deputy near Boardman received report of a motor vehicle accident on I-84 at the bridge. The deputy checked the area and was unable to locate an accident. Frontier dispatch advised they had a wreck on the bridge at Arlington an hour before and the subject possibly confused the location. -An MCSO deputy made contact with a vehicle at Willow Creek Reservoir. One female in the vehicle seemed nervous and other subjects were under the bridge fishing. Deputies made contact with all par- ties and all was okay. -an off-duty officer in Boardman advised of a do- mestic dispute; the parties April 1: -A Morrow County Sheriff’s deputy reported an agency as- sist for a disturbance in Umatilla. -A male in Heppner re- ported dogs were jumping into his fence. He advised he was very upset. -An RP in Irrigon advised someone broke into the house but wasn’t there anymore; advised the sub- ject went all the way in and then left going toward Sec- ond St. -MCSO was advised that Pendleton PD arrested James Robert Martin on a Morrow County parole and probation warrant. -MCSO was advised of a female in Irrigon being pushed around and threat- ened by a brother-in-law over a neighbor issue she had nothing to do with. A deputy made contact. -A male in Heppner re- ported a dog barking in his front yard. The RP was very upset and yelling on the phone, and threatened multiple times to hurt the animal. -MCSO received report of someone fighting between St. Patrick’s Senior Center and the store in Heppner.
