EIGHT - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, June 14, 2017
The family of Ray E.
Greenlaw would like to ex-
press appreciation for the
many kindnesses shown to
our father/husband during
his illness.
A big thank you to Jim and
Wendy Bleth for driving
Mom to Portland, in the
middle of the night, to fol-
low Dad's Life Flight to
OHSU in Portland.
Many thanks to the Medi-
cal Community of Hep-
pner for the times they
assisted Dad with his par-
ticular needs, many of
which came very late in
the evening. We want to
thank Dr. Hambleton for
going the extra mile to
learn more about Dad's
particular health issues to
where he could , be more
knowledgeable in his treat-
ment. He had it arranged
to where lab draws and
infusions could be done in
Heppner, cutting back on
trips to Walla Walla.
Thank you to the staff at
Pioneer Memorial Hospi-
tal, the Emergency Room
staff, the Heppner Clinic
staff, the Physical Therapy
staff, the VA Clinic staff,
and the excellent assis-
tance from those at Provi-
dence St Mary's Cancer
Center in Walla Walla.
Thank you to the VA ad-
vocate that provided guid-
ance re: transportation and
benefits.
Thank you to Dad's neigh-
bors, Janice and Les Paus-
tian, for going above and
beyond in providing assis-
tance wherever needed.
We wish to thank Sweeney
Mortuary for honoring our
last wish for Dad, and ar-
ranging for the Military
Service. Also a big thank
you to the Veterans that
participated in the Final
Roll Call.
We are overwhelmed with
gratitude for the compas-
sion and generosity shown
to the Greenlaw family this
week-end by the Heppner
Seventh-day
Adventist
Church. They have given
of their time and energy to
ensure the gymnasium was
set up and ensuring suffi-
cient meals were prepared
for the many family mem-
bers coming into town
for the Memorial Service.
Heppner is a great little
community.
