Mary cooked for lamb- ing, shearing and haying crews, other hired men, and extended family, while raising five children and many bummer lambs. She enjoyed being part of a large family. Coffee, milk and juice will also be served. Break- fast will be served on a donation basis with all funds going to Hope2Liberia. Hope2Liberia is a mission that has been providing clean water, training and schooling to the people of Liberia since 2005. Pastor DeLoe of Heppner Christian Church has made several trips to Liberia with this group and will be going again this year for the month of July. All funds from the breakfast will be going toward the projects of Hope2Liberia, as Pastor DeLoe is raising funds for his own travel expenses himself. Please keep Heppner looking clean Please make our town presentable again. The trash and articles unwanted are beginning to be a sore sight when walking in town. I try to do my part but others need to help. We would like to have the visitors, not only on St. Patrick’s Weekend but all year long, see our community as a neat and tidy town. Spread the word and encourage our young people to participate in picking up trash, bottles and unwanted items. (s) Judie Laughlin, Heppner WCCC men’s Sunday play to begin The Willow Creek Country Club men will kick off their golf year on Sunday, March 19. The board will be serving break- fast between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. and the men will tee off at 9 a.m. The event will be a blind draw two-man scramble. The men will be playing the cross-country set-up. There will be a year- long point system. Three points will be earned for participating, and another point for ability. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the year. All men are asked to save the dates of March 31, April 1 and April 2; the greens will be plugged and sanded at that time. Board members say this is a major project that will be much easier with lots of help. The next event will be on March 26. Duane Disque, Ron Bowman and Dave Gunderson are in charge.
