Lindsay to speak to
grief support group
March 2
The Heppner area grief
support group will be meet-
ing again at Peggy Con-
nor’s house (615 S. Alfalfa)
on March 2 at 12 p.m.
The group consists of
a wide variety of folks
who have experienced an
assortment of grief, who
meet together to help one
another and others with
their journey through their
heartache.
On that note, at the
group’s last meeting, some-
one suggested having a
guest talk about suicide. So,
this month the group will
hear from Kimberly Lind-
say, who has been working
at Community Counseling
Solutions for 20 years.
She will speak on the
grief that follows suicide
and how to support indi-
viduals who have lost a
loved one to suicide.
There are unique issues
that family members have
to deal with in addition to
grief: guilt, stigma, isola-
tion, anger and unanswered
questions, to name a few.
Statistics say that if you
don’t already know some-
one who has lost a family
member to a suicide, you
will.
Lunch will be provided
at noon with the presen-
tation to follow. All are
welcome.
Questions, please call
