DA’s
Report
Morrow County Dis-
trict Attorney Justin Nelson
has released the following
report:
-Christopher Cooley,
34, was convicted of Un-
authorized use of a Vehicle,
a Class C Felony, and sen-
tenced to 18 months su-
pervised probation subject
to 90 sanction units with
30 jail units, to include no
contact with the victims.
Cooley additionally was
convicted of Possession of
Methamphetamine, a Class
C Felony. The defendant’s
driver’s license was sus-
pended for six months and
Cooley sentenced to 18
months supervised proba-
tion subject to 90 sanction
units with 30 jail units,
probation to include80
hours of community ser-
vice. Cooley additionally
was convicted of Resisting
Arrest, a Class A Misde-
meanor, and sentenced to
18 months bench probation.
Additional counts of Theft
II and Criminal Mischief III
were dismissed. Fines, fees
assessments and restitution
totaled $1,644.
-Patrick Hardie, 49,
was convicted of Disor-
derly Conduct II, a Class
B Misdemeanor. Of the
sentence of 90 days jail
time, 65 days were sus-
pended and the defendant
sentenced to 24 months
bench probation, to include
25 days jail time with credit
for time served. An ad-
ditional count of Criminal
Trespass II was dismissed.
Fees and assessments were
waived.
Sheriff’s Report
April 2: -Morrow
County Sheriff ’s Office
was advised of a dark mini-
van going all over the road
on I-84 west near Board-
man; the caller advised the
vehicle was doing 80-plus
at the time and the driver
could not keep up. Felix
Alvarez Rios was cited
for failure to drive in lane,
no operator’s license and
driving uninsured. Rios
also was arrested for driv-
ing under the influence of
intoxicants and possession
of a forged instrument.
-MCSO received report
of a suspicious male at the
Umatilla Fish hatchery in
Irrigon; the male reportedly
pulled a gun on a fisherman.
-MCSO was advised
that Umatilla County Sher-
iff’s Office arrested Marion
Preston Sager, 37, on an
MCSO warrant for failure
to appear and failure to pay
fine on a warrant for theft II.
-MCSO was advised
that Union County Sheriff’s
Office arrested Clifford
Eugene Bradley, 50, on an
MCSO warrant for failure
to appear on possession
of methamphetamine and
driving while suspended –
misdemeanor.
-MCSO received re-
port of a male and female
in Heppner screaming and
yelling at each other, with a
lot of crashing and banging.
MCSO determined the dis-
agreement was verbal and
advised the subjects would
be arrested if they had to
return that night.
