4H is hiring a 4-H Snack Shack Manager during fair
week, August 15-20, 2016. The job entails pre-fair dut-
ies, such as but not limited to: become an approved 4-H
Volunteer (must be able to pass a background check),
obtain a food handler’s license, recruit volunteers, ob-
tain a Temporary Restaurant License for the facility,
work with Health Inspector before business opens, or-
der food and supplies, and prep shack for fair. During
the week of fair, duties include, but aren’t limited to:
be enthusiastic about 4-H and supportive of all staff
and volunteers, be willing to delegate responsibilities,
relate well to people, be able to communicate well with
adults and youth in individual and group situations,
have organizational ability, have available time to
carry out responsibilities, be dependable, be willing to
work with all people regardless of race, color, religion,
sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, marital
status, disability, and disabled veteran or Vietnam-era
veteran status, understand the goals and purposes of
4-H, help enforce 4-H rules and guidelines, following
the 4-H code of conduct, keep other volunteers and/or
4-H staff updated on the progress of activities, com-
municate with 4-H staff on any help, changes, or addi-
tions needed in the project area, work with fair board,
sale committee and volunteers to provide a smooth and
efficient fair experience, work with 4-H staff to pro-
vide a positive youth development experience. A com-
