be accepting sealed bids for
the sale of the following:
2004 Chevy Van EXP VIN#

Bids will be accepted until
4:00 PM July 11, 2016 at
Heppner City Hall,
111 S. Main, PO Box 756,
Heppner, OR 97836. The
vehicle will be sold as
is. The City of Heppner
makes no warranty as to
the condition of the vehicle,
or of the suitability of the
vehicle for any intended
use. The vehicle may be
viewed at the City Hall
Parking Lot behind city hall
on Gale St. The successful
bidder(s) will remove the
vehicle within 48 hours of
being notiied that their bid
was accepted. The City of
Heppner reserves the right
to reject any and all bids.
Envelopes should be clearly
labeled with the words,
“Surplus Vehicle Bid”.

photo contest
Community Bank is
announcing the return of
the Traveling HAMilton
Photo Contest. The contest
involves submitting a photo
of HAMilton, the Commu-
nity Bank pink piggy bank,
on an adventure.
Contestants do not need
to be customers to enter,
and may pick up their own
HAMilton piggy bank now
from a local Community
Bank branch to get started.
The contest, new last
year, resulted in worldwide
travel for the adventurous
piggy bank. HAMilton was
seen in nearby places in the
Northwest; in many states
such as Utah, Iowa, Hawaii,
New York and Washington,
DC; and in countries such
as France, Mexico, Ireland
and Australia.

contest begins June 1. The
top five entries as deter-
mined by a bank committee
will face off in a Facebook
voting platform.
Each week the entrant
with the most votes will
receive $100, distributed
as “Hamiltons” (ten dollar
bills).
Each winner for four
weeks will automatically be
entered into the grand prize
voting period occurring
from July 6 through July 12.
The entry with the most
votes will receive $1,000.
Entrants must be 13
years old or older.

January 29: -Morrow
County Sheriff’s Ofice was
advised of a disturbance
at a location in Irrigon. A
deputy responded and woke
up the resident. The female
resident was not at home
and no disturbance was
located. MCSO determined
the call to be unfounded.
-A Heppner resident
advised MCSO that a sus-
picious female had been
casing his building around
noon the day before. The
female was looking in win-
dows and vehicles. The next
day, the caller noticed his
24-foot ATV trailer was
missing.
-A male with a known
arrest record was reported
to be driving back and forth
in front of a residence on
Little Butter Creek Rd. The
resident requested contact.
-A female in Hep-
pner reported that she had
“creepy” people walking
along the creek behind her
house. She reported that she
had seen one that morning
and her mother had seen
three or four that morning.
-MCSO was advised of
two or three juvenile males
trying to fight at Irrigon
High School.
-A female advised she
could not get her vehicle
from a towing company
because all of her infor-
mation was in the glove
box. She requested contact
from a deputy for further
assistance.
-MCSO arrested Shawn
Michael Chandler, 38, on
two circuit court warrants
from Failure to Appear on
Possession of Methamphet-
amine and FTA on Posses-
sion of Methamphetamine,
Criminal Trespass I and
False Information.
-A male who had been
reported to be driving back
and forth in front a resi-
dence earlier was issued a
stalking order.
-A male in Irrigon re-
ported a male subject go-
ing door to door giving
out free shampoo samples.
When the caller went to
the door, the subject was
looking into the house as
if he were scoping out the
place. The caller went out-
side and wrote down the
license plate number and
the subject got defensive
and took off speeding. The
caller stated his neighbor’s
house had been broken into
within the last few weeks.
No contact needed.
-MCSO conducted an
extra patrol on Little Butter
Creek per request.
-MCSO was advised
of a vehicle off the road
in the ditch at Baker Ln./
Ella Rd., Ione. The subject
appeared to be intoxicated.
MCSO arrested Michael
Clark Long, 29, for driving
under the inluence of in-
toxicants. Subject was cited
and release to appear upon
notiication by the District
Attorney.
January 30: -Emer-
gency dispatch received
a call from a woman who
advised that she was in Vir-
ginia but that her daughter
was receiving texts from
a juvenile in Boardman
who said she wanted to kill
herself and had tried twice
in the last few minutes.
Morrow County Sheriff’s
Ofice, Boardman PD and
Boardman ambulance re-
sponded.
-MCSO was advised of
shots ired in Irrigon, pos-
sibly on the refuge.
-At the motel in Hep-
pner, a caller advised
MCSO of rowdy individu-
als who had been making
noise yelling and bang-
ing on doors all night. A
deputy responded and con-
tacted the subjects about the
noise and about parking in a
handicapped parking space.
-A juvenile male ad-
vised MCSO that he was
walking home from a
friend’s house in Board-
man and had become lost.
MCSO responded and gave
the juvenile a ride.
February 1: -Dispatch
called back a disconnected
911 call; a male answered
and identified himself as
Smokey and advised he
was born in ’64 and that his
phone was in his pocket and
the 911 dial was accidental.
-Morrow County Sher-
iff’s Ofice was advised of
a dog that wandered into
the Neighborhood Center
in Heppner. The owner was
called and advised of the
dogs’ location and the dog
was returned to the owner.
-Morrow County Sher-
iff’s Ofice received report
from the Irrigon Shell sta-
tion that a female requested
a deputy and requested a
place to stay.
