Ione library hosting June Tillamook cheese days serving up
‘Move Like a
mac and cheese
Mammoth’ program Tillamook Cheese Days June 24-25 at SAGE Center
Can you pounce like
a saber tooth cat, lift like
a mammoth or stroll like
a giant ground sloth? Get
moving as you discover
how these and other amaz-
ing prehistoric animals ran,
swam, leaped, climbed and
ate their way through Or-
egon’s history.
The Ione Public Li-
brary, in conjunction with
LEO (Libraries of Eastern
Oregon), will be hosting
the “Move Like a Mam-
moth” outreach program
presented by the Museum
of Natural & Cultural His-
tory on Tuesday, June 21,
starting at 10 a.m. at the
Ione Legion Hall.
This one-hour experi-
ence is targeted for a family
audience with elementary
age children, but all ages
are welcome to attend. The
event is free of charge. The
program includes a book
reading and short presenta-
tion followed by activity
tables offering touchable
specimens and hands-on
activities.

church. Nicholas plans to
