DA’s Report
Morrow County Dis-
trict Attorney Justin Nelson
has released the following
report:
-Suzanne Bergo, 31,
was convicted of criminal
trespass I, a Class A mis-
demeanor. Sentence of 180
days’ jail time was sus-
pended and the defendant
sentenced to 24 months’
bench probation, to include
50 hours of community ser-
vice and no contact with the
victim except for parenting
time. Fines, fees and assess-
ments totals $1,029.
-Christine Luzette
Mendoza, 42, was con-
victed of assault IV – con-
stituting domestic violence,
a Class A misdemeanor.
Sentence of 180 days jail
time was suspended and
the defendant sentenced to
24 months bench proba-
tion, to include 60 hours of
community service anger
management evaluation and
recommended treatment,
no contact with the victim,
alcohol evaluation and An-
tabuse if medically able. A
count of harassment was
dismissed. Fines, fees and
assessments totaled $600.
-Clinton Dale Cureton,
23, was convicted for lee-
ing or attempting to elude
a police oficer while in a
motor vehicle, a Class C
Felony. He was sentenced
to 18 months supervised
probation. His license will
be suspended for 90 days.
Cureton’s total fees were
$1,900. He has another
charge of reckless driving,
a Class A misdemeanor. His
license will be suspended
for 30 days. The total ines
were $1,600. Charges dis-
posed include, attempt to
commit a class b felony
and recklessly endangering
another person.
-Erick Fernandez Mar-
quez, 24, was convicted for
burglary second degree, a
Class C Felony. Marquez
must also complete 160
hours of community ser-
vice. Total ines were $500.
Counts disposed include
unlawful entry into a motor
vehicle, criminal trespass in
the second degree, carrying
a concealed weapon and
attempt to commit a class
c felony or an unclassiied
felony.
-Corey Timothy Gray,
39, was charged with resist-
ing arrest, a Class A misde-
meanor. He was sentenced
to 24 months bench pro-
bation. He must also suc-
cessfully complete anger
management evaluation,
have no offensive physical
contact with the victim,
and complete 30 hours of
community service. His
total ines were $350. Mar-
quez also had a count of
harassment by subjecting
another person to offensive
physical contract, a Class A
misdemeanor. He was sen-
tenced to 24 months bench
probation. He will also be
allowed no direct or indirect
contact with the victim, and
must complete 20 hours of
community service and suc-
cessfully complete anger
management evaluation.
His total ines were $500.
Counts disposed include
another count of harass-
ment by subjecting another
person to offensive physical
contact.
-Joseph Swope, 36,
was convicted for failing to
register misdemeanor sex
offender, a Class A misde-
meanor. He was sentenced
to three years bench proba-
tion. He must also complete
60 hours of community
service. Total fines owed
were $200.
-Cesar Guzman Mad-
rigal, 26, was convicted
for unlawful delivery of
marijuana for consideration
a Class B Felony. He was
sentenced to 22 months in
the Oregon Department of
Corrections and three years
post-prison supervision.
His total fees were $200.
Madrigal was also con-
victed for unlawful deliv-
ery of methamphetamine,
a Class B Felony. He was
sentenced to the Oregon
Department of Corrections
for 18 months. He will
also have two years post-
prison supervision. His total
ines were $200. His counts
disposed were unlawful
possession of methamphet-
amine. Madrigal was also
convicted of failure to ap-
pear, a Class C Felony.

40, was convicted of as-

Heppner—BEO Ban-
corp and its subsidiary,
Bank of Eastern Oregon,
announced first quarter
2016 consolidated net in-
come of $782,000, or $0.64
per share, compared to
$470,000 or $0.39 per share
for irst quarter 2015. Total
assets were $352.3 million
up 3.7 percent year-over-
year. Net loans of $284
million were up 3.8 percent
from the same period in
2015, while deposits were
at $312.3 million, up 3.4
percent year-over-year.
“2016 is off to a strong
start. We are seeing man-
aged growth in both loans
and deposits. Proits add to
shareholder equity, which is
up 5.26 percent year-over-
year,” said president and
CEO Jeff Bailey.
Chief Financial Oficer
Mark Lemmon said, “Net
income is up 66.7 percent
from last year. Return on
average assets is 0.88 per-
cent compared to 0.56 per-
cent last year; with return
on average equity at 11.12
percent versus 7.22 percent
in 2015.
“Historically, irst quar-
ter marks the low point
in our earnings cycle as
Ag loans are at their sea-
sonal low. As lines of credit
get utilized with the 2016
growing season, we should
see our loan volume in-
crease accordingly,” Lem-
mon added.

a Class A misdemeanor.

time was suspended and
the defendant sentenced to
24 months bench proba-
tion, to include 60 hours of
community service and no
contact with the victim. An
additional count of criminal
mischief II was dismissed.

meanor. Sentence of 90 days
jail time was suspended and
the defendant sentenced to
24 months bench proba-
tion, to include 20 hours of
community service, anger
management evaluation and
recommended treatment,
and no contact with the
victim. An additional count
of assault IV – constitut-

was convicted of probation
violation; probation was
revoked and the defendant
sentenced to two months
prison time with credit
for time served and to run
concurrent with any other
sentence the defendant is
currently serving. Fines,
fees and assessments to-
taled $25.

sentenced to 18 months su-
pervised probation subject
to 90 sanction units with 30
jail units. Probation condi-
tions include a written letter
of apology to the victim, no
contact with the victim, and
80 hours of community ser-
vice. Additionally, Segura
was convicted of leeing or
attempting to elude a police
oficer, a Class C felony.
The defendant’s driver’s
license was suspended for
90 days and the defendant
sentenced to 18 months su-
pervised probation subject
to 90 sanction units with
30 jail units. Probation
conditions include 80 hours
of community service. Ad-
ditional counts of leeing or
attempting to elude a police
oficer and failure to per-
form the duties of a driver
when property is damaged
were dismissed. Fines, fees,
assessments and restitution
totaled $1,910.

Boardman. The vehicle was
towed.
-MCSO received report
of an elderly subject in the
area of the Irrigon Fish
Hatchery who appeared to
be intoxicated, unable to
walk and was talking to
himself. He said that he was
waiting for a ride and some-
one later picked him up.
-MCSO received report
from a Umatilla Police Of-
icer that he was following
a vehicle on Hwy. 730 and
believed there could have
been a person in the ve-
hicle with a felony warrant.
MCSO responded but was
unable to locate the vehicle.
-MCSO received report
from a male on Main St.
and Kunze Lane in Board-
man that he was assaulted
by his wife and was parked
in front of the Boardman
Police Department.
-Boardman Ambulance
received an EMS 911 call
from a Spanish speaking fe-
male. Her location was de-
termined by using a phone
number search. Boardman
Police Department respond-
ed and requested an ambu-
lance.
December 18: -Mor-
row County Sheriff’s Ofice
received report of oficer
initiated activity at St. Pat-
rick’s Senior Center on
Main St. in Heppner. Depu-
ties were out with a vehicle
with an open trunk and were
unable to locate the owner.
-MCSO received re-
port from a caller at Green
Acres on Paterson Ferry
Rd. in Irrigon that a female
was trying to break into his
house and would not leave.
He advised they had been
drinking and there was
broken glass in the house.
MCSO responded and ar-
rested Alejandro Javier
Nunez, 36, for Failure to
Register as a Sex Offender
and on a Morrow County
Circuit Court warrant for
Failure to Appear/Criminal
Mischief II, Interfering
with Making a Report and
Harassment.
