FBLA to sell home-
made pies for the holiday

Club will be selling home-

cherry, pumpkin, berry,
peach and Oreo will be $15
each. A new addition this
year is the lemon icebox pie

Bank’s Annual Charity
Drive. The funds collected
from the community will
donated to our local Neigh-
borhood Center Food Bank
to help with year’s holiday
season. Funds collected
will be matched at 50 cents
on the dollar, up to a maxi-
mum of $500 in matching
funds per branch. The goal
for this year is to raise at
least $1,000 to support the
charity of choice. For each
branch meeting or exceed-
ing this goal, the local char-
ity would receive at least a
$1,500 donation ($1,000
from the community with
a $500 Community Bank
match.)

Morrow County Dis-
trict Attorney Justin Nelson
has released the following
report:
-James David Town,
2 3, was co nv icted o f
Rape III, a Class C felony,
and was sentenced to 36
months’ probation, subject
to numerous conditions,
with 90 days in jail, and
ordered to pay $200 in fees,
ines and assessments and
complete 80 hours of com-
munity service.
-Luis Alberto Nunez,
30, was convicted of Crimi-
nal Mischief II, and sen-
tenced to 180 days in jail,
suspended, 24 months’
bench probation, with nu-
merous conditions and or-
dered to pay $200 in fees,
ines and assessments, plus
$842 in restitution to the
victim. Nunez was also con-
victed of Assault IV-Consti-
tuting Domestic Violence,
a Class A misdemeanor,
and sentenced to 180 days
in jail, with 150 days sus-
pended, 24 months’ bench
probation with numerous
conditions and ordered to
pay $200 in ines, fees and
assessments. In addition he
was convicted of Criminal
Mischief II, a Class A mis-
demeanor and sentenced to
24 months’ bench probation
with numerous conditions
and ordered to pay an ad-
ditional $100 in ines and
assessments.
-Carlos Alonzo To-
mas, 25, was convicted
of Menacing-Constituting
Domestic Violence, a Class
A misdemeanor, and was
sentenced to 180 days in
jail, 160 suspended, 24
months’ bench probation
with numerous conditions
and ordered to pay $1,100
in ines and assessments.
He was also convicted of
Harassment, a Class B mis-
demeanor, and sentenced
to 90 days in jail with 80
days suspended, 24 months’
bench probation with nu-
merous conditions and or-
dered to pay an additional
$100 in ines and assess-
ments.
-Miguel Angel Gutier-
rez, 44, was convicted to
Violating a Court’s Stalk-
ing Protective Order, a
Class A misdemeanor, and
was sentenced to 180 days
in jail with 170 days sus-
pended, 24 months’ bench
probation, plus numerous
conditions, and ordered to
pay $1,450 in fines, fees
and assessments. He was
also convicted of Resisting
Arrest, a Class A misde-
meanor, and sentenced to
180 days in jail, suspended,
with 24 months’ bench
probation with numerous
conditions and ordered to
pay an additional $100 in
ines and assessments.

ed he was not going to do
anything and did have fam-
ily with him now. MCSO
advised the male there were
counselors he could talk to
but he declined.
-MCSO was advised
that an intoxicated mother
was at an elementary school
in Irrigon and wanted to
drive her children home.
The school was keeping
the kids in the ofice and
requested a deputy to re-
spond. MCSO responded
and gave the mother and
children a courtesy ride to
their residence.
-A person in Irrigon
advised that a suicidal male
was at a location looking for
a deputy. The caller stated
the male might be in his
car, which was parked in
front of the parents’ house
next door. He was on the
cell phone talking to a coun-
cilor earlier. The caller ad-
vised he tried to calm him
down. The male still had
trying to get him to give
him a weapon to use but he
did not, and wanted police
to know where to ind him.
-A caller in Irrigon ad-
vised a male was getting
aggressive with the male’s
father; the male was upset
about a court ruling and a
stalking order not being dis-
missed. MCSO responded
and made contact with the
subject and all others at the
residence. The family of the
subject advised they would
stay with him that night
and did not believe he was
a threat that night.
-A man in Irrigon
advised MCSO that his
14-year-old daughter ran
away. He advised she may
have gone to Pendleton
with a friend; he had heard
from her a couple hours
ago but now she wouldn’t
reply. MCSO made contact
with the caller, who signed
the juvenile as a missing
runaway. An ATL was sent
and an entry made into Law
Enforcement Data System.
