Works is seeking a Utility
Worker. The employee
should be able to operate
light to heavy equipment
and strenuous physical
labor. This is a full time
position and the employee
will be expected to work
overtime, for on call time
and for emergencies. The
position pays $12.00/
hour, higher for already
certified applicants, plus
full benefits. Applicants
must be at least 18 years
of age, have a HS diploma,
and possess a valid Oregon
driver’s license. You must
obtain a CDL within 12
months of being hired.
Prospective employees are
required to complete a City
of Heppner employment
application form. A

The Assisted Living is
taking this opportunity to
thank all their many friends
that have impacted their
residence in the last few
months.
Thanks to all the people
that help with the weekly
activities, bingo, crafts,
piano music, rides,
including the senior bus,
Gazette-Times readers,
exercises, library book
exchange and crossword
puzzle.
We have received many
donations from high school
graduates, those who donate
toward our activities and a
large sum from a local
lodge.
All summer we received
food from locals and
residents’ families who
had an overabundance and
were very happy to share.
We are thankful for the
lamppost given by the
Health District. It has been
placed near the gazebo.
Donated monies have
helped with visiting the Full time house keeper for

Up Volunteers” who helped

the building, windows and

Morrow County Dis-
trict Attorney Justin Nelson
has released the following
report:
-Skyler Zackery Willia
Clements, 20, was convict-
ed of Harassment, a Class B
Misdemeanor. Sentence of
90 days jail time was sus-
pended and the defendant
sentenced to 24 months
bench probation, to include
40 hours of community ser-
vice and no offensive physi-
cal contact with either of
the victims. An additional
charge of Assault IV was
dismissed. Fines, fees and
assessments totaled $350.
-Melody Coake, 51,
was convicted of Harass-
ment, a Class B Misde-
meanor. Sentence of 90
days jail time was sus-
pended and the defendant
sentenced to 24 months
bench probation, to include
a written apology to the
victim and no offensive
physical contact with the
victim. Additional counts
of Assault IV and Criminal
mischief II were dismissed.
Fines, fees and assessments
totaled $200.
-David Lynn Bailey,
52, was convicted of Theft
I, a Class C Felony, and
sentenced to 18 months
prison time with credit for
time served, with one year
post-prison supervision.
An additional count of
Criminal Trespass II was
dismissed. Fines, fees, as-
sessments and restitution
totaled $1,700.
