Ione students and supporters go wild with the win: The Ione
volleyball team won its second-round state playoff game Sat-
urday in Ione with a full house of red-wearing Cardinal fans
cheering them on. The girls won three sets to Elkton’s zero
to earn their right to enter the state tournament number one
in their league. This Friday, Nov. 6, the Lady Cards will face
number-two team North Douglas at 3:15 p.m. at Ridgeview
High School in Redmond. The winner will advance to the
semiinals that same evening, matched up against the winner of
