For Public/Legal Notices: public/legal notices deadline is Monday at 5 p.m. Dates for pub-
lication must be specified. Affidavits must be required at the time of submission. Affidavits
require three weeks to process after last date of publication (a sooner return date must be
specified if required).
For Obituaries: Obituaries are published in the Heppner GT at no charge and are edited to
meet news guidelines. Families wishing to include information not included in the guidelines
or who wish to have the obituary written in a certain way must purchase advertising space
for the obituary.
For Letters to the Editor: Letters to the Editor MUST be signed by the author. The Heppner
GT will not publish unsigned letters. All letters MUST include the author’s address and phone
number for use by the GT office. The GT reserves the right to edit letters. The GT is not
responsible for accuracy of statements made in letters. Any letters expressing thanks will
be placed in the classifieds under “Card of Thanks” at a cost of $10.

Club ladies’ play day on
Tuesday, Aug. 25.
Low gross of the field
was taken by Virginia
Grant. Low net of the field
went to Jan Paustian, and
Betty Burns had least putts.
Karen Thompson had
low gross for flight A. Vir-
ginia Grant had KP.
On flight B, Pat Dough-
erty had low gross, long
drive and KP, while Lor-
rene Montgomery had low
net. Least putts was a tie
between Sharon Harrison
and Shirley Martin.
For flight C, Bev Stea-
gall had low gross and KP,
while Sue Edson had low
net, Kathy martin least
putts and Jackie Allstott
long drive.
In other events, Pat
Dougherty had a chip-in
and a birdie on #17, and
Jan Paustian had a birdie
on #10.
The weather was beau-
tiful and sunny on Sept.
1 for the 20 women who
played at WCCC. Pat Ed-
mundson and Nancy Proph-
eter tied for low gross of the
field and Bev Steagall took
low net. Judy Harris had
least putts of the field.
For flight A, Eva
Kilkenny had low gross
and Virginia Grant low net.
For flight B, Sarah
Rucker had low gross,
Shirley Martin low net and
Betty Burns least putts.
For flight C, Jackie
Allstott had low gross, low
net was a tie between Kris
Lindner and Karen Hague-
wood, and Nancy Arnson
and Kathy Martin tied for
least putts.
Nancy Arnson also had

in men’s play on Sunday,
Aug. 30, at Willow Creek
Country Club. Results are

Chelsie is a graduate of
Hermiston Christian School
in Hermiston and Vanguard
University in Costa Mesa,
CA. She is currently em-
ployed as a coach at Crossfit
Costa Mesa.
Chris is the son of
George and Mariah Guar-
dado of Quartz Hill. He
graduated from Quartz Hill
High School before obtain-
ing a degree from Brooks
College in Long Beach,
CA. He works as market-
ing and creative director
for Progenex USA in Costa
Mesa.
