AND MORE!
Hello Everybody
Hello Brothers and Sisters! I don't know if those are the best titles to use in a
christian salutation. Maybe, “Hello Saints” would be better. I wonder what we will
call each other in heaven since there will be no gender distinctions. (Matt.22:30)
I guess it doesn't matter what we call each other. The important thing is that we
understand in the kingdom of God there is neither Jew or Greek, bond nor free,
male nor female, for we are all one in Christ Jesus. (Gal. 3:28) In other words there
are no gender distinctions, no racial distinctions and no cultural distinctions. Hey,
maybe there won't even be Baptist, Methodist and Pentecostal distinctions! There
are only Christians and non-christians. Well, actually, in heaven there will only be
Christians: the non-christians will be some place else!
We have all been saddened by the racial riots and killings which have recently
rocked our nation. I am happy to say, “I have not observed this kind of bigotry in
Heppner.” Christian Life Center will soon be getting a visually impaired black pas-
tor. I believe Heppner is ready! My wife and I have received a warm and friendly
welcome by all the good people in Heppner and I rejoice in the confidence that the
next pastor will be received just as cordially.
Heppner is a great little town. We have certainly enjoyed our time here! Thank
you Heppner for letting us be a part of you. I know Heppner, and its churches, in-
cluding Christian Life Center, have a great future: they are made up of great people
with a great God. I hope to see all of you in heaven. I promise you that I will be dili-
gent to maintain my relationship with the Lord by holiness of lifestyle, continual
prayer and study of the word, and by consistent church involvement. I hope you
determine the same for yourself! Please don't gamble with your soul! Eternity is to
long to endure: hell is too ter-
rible to experience: and heaven
is too wonderful to miss. Don't
take it for granted everything
will be okay: make sure! I do
want to meet you again in
heaven! God bless you all,
Former Pastor David Jenkins
