Shared Ministry
The Shared Ministry of Hope Lutheran Church and
All Saints Episcopal Church has announced its schedule
for Holy Week.
Maundy Thursday worship will take place at Hope
at 7 p.m. The service will recall two events in Jesus’ life
on the night before his crucifixion: the institution of the
Lord’s Supper and His washing of the disciples’ feet. The
evening concludes with a light meal and the stripping of
the altar.
Good Friday worship will be at All Saints at 7 p.m.,
with lessons and hymns and images of the crucifixion in
a gradually darkening sanctuary.
Heppner United Methodist Church will be participat-
ing in these two services as well.
Easter Sunday festival worship with Holy Commu-
nion will take place at Hope at 10 a.m. A special Easter
cross will bloom with fresh flowers as people gather and
add their flowers to the cross; extra flowers will be avail-
able at the church for those who are not able to bring any.
Coffee hour and an Easter egg hunt on the parsonage
lawn will follow the service.
Everyone is welcome.
PUBLIC NOTICE
“When I think of my first day as a student at BMCC, I
remember walking into my first class and looking around to
see the room filled with 18 year olds! As a 30-something
mother of three young girls I thought, what the heck am I doing here?
As it turned out, BMCC was the perfect environment for me. The faculty
and administration were excellent, and I soon discovered I wasn’t the only student over
30; there were even some in their 40’s and 50’s!”
Have you heard about the BMCC bond?
BMCC wants to continue to provide a high-quality education for students so they can
succeed like our many distinguished alumni! Check out the bond page on our website to
learn more about how BMCC could continue to provide an affordable education for family-
wage jobs, a safe and secure learning environment and protect the community’s
investment. Look for the bond on the May 19, 2015, ballot!
