Updates will be giv- en from the county wolf committee, ODFW, aerial predator control, memo- rial scholarship fundraising, the Oregon Cattlemen’s Association, as well as a roundtable discussion on Medusahead control by Andrew Kilgore of K2 Aerial and Steve Wallace of Sheriff’s Report Western Ag Services. July 18-19: -Heppner Fire responded to a grass fire at the top of Clarks Canyon. -Ione Fire responded to a grass fire on Highway 74 by Willow Creek Wind Farm. -Frontier Dispatch ad- vised Morrow County Sher- iff’s Office of a small purple passenger car eastbound on I-84 going 100+ mph. A deputy responded and conducted a traffic stop. -MCSO was asked to respond to a report of a missing juvenile in Irrigon. The juvenile was located; she was babysitting in a residence in town. -MCSO received an animal complaint for a loca- tion on Hwy. 74, Lexington. The caller stated that they were concerned about the dogs at the locations be- cause the male is in jail and the female had moved and there was no one to take care of the dogs. Deputy ad- vised he made contact with a female who was handing out tickets of some kind to trucks coming out of Lind- say Canyon. -MCSO was advised that a female subject in Heppner was at a location from which she had been trespassed. -MCSO was advised that Oregon State Police arrested Lori Knudsen, 55, on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Ap- pear. -MCSO was advised that Hermiston PD arrested William Eugene Stolz on a Heppner Circuit Court war- rant for Failure to Appear. -A Heppner resident advised MCSO that his resi- dence had been broken into sometime during the night. He advised that medication was the only thing taken. -MCSO and Boardman PD responded to a report of a fight at a Nuts and Bolts Tavern in Irrigon. July 20: -Morrow County Sheriff ’s Office received a burglary report from Irrigon. The home- owner had just returned home and found that some- one had broken into her house and taken the safe and TV, and the bedroom had been gone through. MCSO investigated. -MCSO was contacted for an agency assist when a male suspect in a domestic dispute fled the scene and was believed to be headed north from Wheeler County on Hwy. 207. Suspect took a male two-year-old child with him. -MCSO received a call from Irrigon regarding a cooler that had been found along the river. When the caller opened it, there was an odor of something dead. MCSO responded and de- termined fishing bait had been left in the cooler. -MCSO was advised that U.S. Forest Service arrested David O’Neil, 33, on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant. Subject was lodged at Marion County Jail with local charges pending. -A male in Irrigon ad- vised MCSO that he was assaulted by two Hispanic males. Juan Carlos Ceja, 26, was cited for Possession of a Controlled Substance – Less Than 1 Ounce of Marijuana and for Carrying a Concealed Firearm. -MCSO received a re- port of a man carrying a woman on 1-84 Westbound by Boardman, and it looked like the back window of the car had been blown out. Unknown if there was an accident or injuries. Of- ficers responded. July 25: -Morrow County Sheriff ’s Office received an animal com- plaint about a neighbor’s dogs barking all the time in Heppner. -MCSO received a theft complaint from Sub Zero Restaurant in Irrigon. A female ordered food from the lounge and gave her card to pay, but the card would not run for the full amount. When confronted, she left with the food but left her card. -MCSO received report of a burglary in Irrigon. The caller had just gotten home and two TVs were missing. -MCSO received report of a missing person. The caller said his son had been working at Martin Prairie and he had not heard from him. The employer checked the cabin; subject was not there and the pickup was also gone.
