bag sale is back
The Neighborhood Center $ 10 Bag Sale is back every
Wednesday. The weekly sale includes all merchandise
that will fit in the bag. Also, furniture is 50% off on
Wednesdays only.
Donations of gently used merchandise and household
items are always appreciated.

put on a shirt or mug, find
that perfect Christmas gift
and have a photo taken with
Santa.
Breakfast items will be
available for purchase 8-10
a.m., and a soup and chili
lunch will be offered from
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Santa will
be available 9-11 a.m. and
1-3 p.m. Door prizes will
be awarded throughout the

Chamber lunch
meeting
The next lunch meeting of the Heppner Chamber
of Commerce will be an all entities report on Thursday.
Nov. 6, at noon in Heppner City Hall conference room.
Cost of lunch is $10; Bucknum’s will cater. Chamber
lunch attendees are asked to RSVP at 541-676-5536 no
later than the Wednesday before to guarantee a lunch.
Morrow County Justice of the Peace Ann Spicer has
released the following Justice Court report:
-Jeremiah M. Aulton, 32, of Beaverton, OR was found
guilty of Open Container of Alcohol and fined $262.
-Jonathan Ceel VandenBrink, 35. of Hermiston was
found guilty of Violating the Basic Rule 75/55; he was
fined $160.
-Bruce H. Young, 55, of Heppner was found guilty
of Failure to Comply with Burning Permit Regulations
and fined $110.

Community lunch
menu
Church of the Nazarene and Seventh-day Adventist
Church members will serve lunch on Wednesday, Nov.
12, at St. Patrick's Senior Center.
The meal will include smoked salmon quiche, oven-
fried potatoes, stewed tomatoes, summer squash, French
bread and strawberry shortcake. Milk is served at each
meal. Suggested donation is $3.50 per meal.
Menu is subject to change.
All Blue Mountain Community College locations in
Pendleton, Hermiston, Boardman, Milton-Freewater and
Baker City will be closed on Nov. 11 for Veteran’s Day
and Nov. 27 and 28 for Thanksgiving.

breakfast on Sunday, Nov. 9, from 8 -1 0 a.m. The menu
includes waffles, sausage, juice and coffee. The break­
fast, held the second Sunday of each month, is open to

Thanksgiving is Fight ground the corner
The November session of First Friday Friends of
Jesus will be held this Friday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to
noon at the All Saints Parish Hall (corner of Church and
Gale in Heppner). Children ages four to 12 are invited
to a morning filled with Bible stories, games, crafts and
fun, concluding with a free lunch. Newcomers are always
welcome.
