The Heppner High
School Class o f 1994 is
planning a 20-year reunion
Friday, October 31. Any
classmates, teachers, family
or friends of the members
are welcome to attend.
Activities planned in­
clude a Trick or Treat with
the family. Class members
are invited to bring their
little ones out for a little
ghoulish fun. Those plan­
ning to attend should meet
at Hager Park at 5 p.m.
At 7 p.m. it’s game
time featuring the Heppner
High football team in their
last game of the season vs.
Weston-McEwen.
Then it’s “ S tories
and Spirits’’ following the
game, with a meet-up at
Bucknum’s to catch up with
old friends.
On Saturday, Novem-
ber 1, a potluck lunch is
planned. Classmates and
family members are invited
to gather at St. Patrick’s
Catholic Parish Hall for a
potluck lunch. Attendees
are asked to bring a main
and side dish and donate $5
to assist in the cost of the
hall rental.
Then it’s “Stories and
Spirits” again. Raise your
glass with your friends
from 1994 one last time this
weekend at Bucknum’s Pub
at 9 p.m.

Robert Loren “Bob”
Hale was bom on February
11, 1930 in Pendleton,
Oregon to parents, Loren
Howard Hale and Leoma
R hodes H ale. He died
on A ugust 20, 2014 in
R ichland, W ashington,
at the age of 84 years. A
graveside funeral service
was held on Saturday,
August 23, at 10:00 a.m. at
the Echo Cemetery, Echo,
Oregon.
He was raised and
attended school in Echo,
Oregon graduating from
E cho H igh S ch o o l in
1947. Bob was united in
m arriage to Jane Adell
Graham on January 21,
1949 in Pendleton, Oregon.
He worked construction
at McNary Dam for a few
years before going into
farm ing. He worked on
local farms until starting
his own farming business
on Buttercreek Highway,
Echo, in 1975.
He was a m em ber
o f the United Methodist
Church, the Oregon Wheat
League, and a longtime
member of the Echo School
Board. He enjoyed RVing
with Adell, the beach witli
his family and time at his

on the Oregon Coast in
later years. He also enjoyed
building model airplanes,
was an avid reader, and
was an avid history buff.
Bob cherished the time with
Adell and with his family.
He was a farmer and was
truly a devoted family man.
He is survived by his
wife of 65 years, J. Adell

his wife Kelly, Hermiston,
OR. and Rick Hale and
his wife Jody, Echo, OR;

WA; sisters: Hazel Hale ,

Club will hold their annual
Steak Feed and Auction
on Saturday, October 4,
at the Heppner Elks Club,

the majority of the funds
that the Booster Club uses
to help support both athletic
and academic clubs and
activities at Heppner Junior/
Senior High.
In addition to the steak
dinner and the live auction,
there will be raffle prizes
and silent auction items
which provide a variety of
opportunities for everyone

In fact, only one workshop remains before books are
due on Sept. 22. The final record book workshop will be
