“1 am especially ex
cited about bringing core
values and establishing tra
ditions at the lower levels of
the program,” Waite said. “I
think that having consistent
instruction on such things
as P-n-S, MCC, PBY and
B.R.E.D. at all levels of our
program will strengthen the
girls’ skills and raise our
team's performance.”
At the junior high level
there will be an opportunity
to become familiar with the
same rotations and team of
fensive and defensive sets
used by the high school.
Waite said he thinks this
will be exciting for girls
who will one day soon be
on the high-school teams.
As in the past, the $25 fee
for skills camp will include
a t-shirt that girls and their
families can wear to the
home games, or any time,
for that matter.
The camp will be bro
ken into grade levels for
instruction appropriate to
ability. The Colt age group
(third - fifth grade) will be
from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on
Monday and Wednesday,
Aug. 18 and 20. The skills
camp for junior high (sixth
- eighth grade) will be from
1-3 p.m. those days, while
the skills camp for high-
school girls will be part of
Daily Doubles.
