Alldritt receives
Windy River teacher recognized for
Grant Rigby award outstanding math contributions
lone Community School cook Kay Alldritt was the recipient
o f this year’s Grant Rigby Memorial Award. The Grant
Rigby Memorial, named for a past lone teacher, was set up
to recognize lone school staff members who go the extra
mile to serve students. Alldritt received the award for her
“countless hours” preparing for and serving students. “She
never complains and always has a smile on her face when
students come in,” stated Student Body President Gus Peterson
during the award presentation. “She is one of the first to notice
when a student is struggling with an issue and makes it easy
for students to approach her when they need help." Alldritt
also received $300 to go toward enhancing any school-related
