ARD O FTHANKS
Once again we are
taking this opportunity to
thank some o f our many
friends for their support
during the last few months.
Thanks to the hair
dressers who come on a
regular basis to make an
ordinary day feel special, to
a volunteer who has gotten
the residents interested in a
special bowling game and
to the long-time supporter
who gave us a new flat
screen TV. We also had
an lone student come and
show slides of his recent
trip to Europe.
M any thanks to
all the volunteers o f our
weekly events, such as
crosswords, Bingo, crafts,
m usic, G azette-T im es
read ers, rid es and the
library book exchange.
Thanks to the pre
schoolers who came for
a Halloween party where
each ghost and goblin was
treated to a pumpkin, games,
songs and refreshments.
They returned for a pre-
Thanksgiving celebration
and again for a Valentine
party. This trip included
planting nasturtium seeds.
Thanks also to the
fiddlers for entertaining
with foot stompin’ and hand
clappin’ fun.
We a r e e v e r
th a n k fu l for the local
lodge and the Andersons,
who donated meat for our
freezer, and the group of
ladies who come to give
m a n ic u re s to an y o n e
wanting this luxury.
R e c e n tly we
h av e b een re c e iv in g
money donations for the
building project about to be
underway. They have come
from various high school
classes and individuals,
local and out of town.
Thanks to those
who helped with Christmas
decorating including the
tree, ad d ressin g cards,
helping to build a couple
gingerbread houses and
Santa, who visited with
presents for under the tree
and the socks that were
hung. M u ltiple groups
came caroling. There were
a couple piano recitals and
people bearing various
gifts. The traditional crab
cake lunch New Year's Day
was again made possible by
an anonymous donor.
We are thanking for
the monetary donations that
allow the residents to attend
various outings, such as the
Veteran's Day tribute at the
high school, and a music
performance at the grade
school.
All o f your help
is appreciated and makes
