Crop growers reminded to
save the date for dryland tours
Morrow County wheat
growers are reminded to
save the date for the 2014
Morrow County dryland
crop tour and social.
The tour this year will
include early-morning and/
or sunset tours on Thursday,
June 12, with highlights of
new hard red w inter wheat
varieties, new OSU soft
white lines Bobtail and
Rosalyn, Colorado drought
resistant lines and more.
M ore d e ta ils w ill
follow at a later date.
The W heat L eague
social and potluck will
take place Friday, June 13, Road. The social will begin
at Dick and Nancy Snider's at 5 p.m. with the dinner at

Chamber lunch
meeting
The next lunch meeting of the Heppner Chamber
of Commerce will be an all entities report on Thursday,
April 3, at noon in Heppner City Hall conference room.
Cost of lunch is $10; A&M's Kitchen w ill cater.
Chamber lunch attendees are asked to RSVP at 541 -
676-5536 no later than the Wednesday before to guarantee
a lunch.
The Mustang varsity
track and field men came
home with fifth place out
of a field of 13 from the
Sherman Invitational on
Saturday, March 22, in
M oro. The team score
o f 49 put them behind
G o ld e n d a le , C o rb e tt,
Sherman and Lyle Wishram.

placed 11th in a field of 15
with a team score of 21.
