A local boy with a
generous heart has decided
to help out a local charity.
Cody Fletcher, 9, o f
Lexington recently won
a bike. Cody, the son of
Andy and Andrea Fletcher,
decided that, since he
already had a bike, his shiny
new wheels would be better
off going to a good cause.
“ I was so lucky to
win a bike,” said Cody.
“A fte r w in n in g it, 1
decided to donate it to
the Neighborhood Center,
because I thought another
kid would be as happy as 1
was to get it.”
To make the most o f
the gift, the Neighborhood
Center has decided to hold
a raffle for the bike. Tickets
will be available March
1 through April 17 at the
Neighborhood Center, and
will cost SI each or six for
$5. The drawing will be
held April 17 after school
and the w inner will be
notified.
Proceeds will be used
to help buy a new freezer
for the center’s food room.
