As for why the hospital
chose the HoverMatt out of
all possible needs. Miller
said price, as well as need,
was a factor.
“We have to give them
(Friends Helping Friends)
an obtainable goal. The
HoverMatt is $4,000 for a
couple of them. There are
other things we can use, but
they’re tens of thousands of
dollars,” she said.

Run will take place March
15 during the St. Patrick’s
Day celebration. The event
will begin with a social hour
and registration at 8:30 a.m.
with the walk/run starting at
9:30 a.m.
The w a lk /ru n w ill
p ro c e e d f o llo w in g a
route o f handmade green
shamrocks. Each shamrock
sports a pink heart with
the name, and sometimes
a photo, of a remembered
loved-one. Donation is $5
per name. Pre-registration
is encouraged, and Friends
Helping Friends is again
asking for a $5 donation per
walker or runner. Children
accompanied by adults are
free.

month, the lodge members

president. In April, Holly
Lodge will host the district
meeting.
In December, the lodge
members donated gifts and
food items to be given to a
family at Christmas through
the Neighborhood Center.
