T h e ir p h y s ic a l
play really bothered the
TigerScot team, and the
M ustang d efen se held
their opponents to one of
their lowest point totals of
the year. Also helping the
Mustangs was the fact that
they were able to make 19-
23 free throws in the game.
The score was tied
after one quarter 13-13 and
the Mustangs led 19-17
at halftime. Heppner then
outscored W-M 31-21 in the
second half to get the win.
M addie Lindsay led
the team with 13 points.
Kayla Kindle followed with
10, while Micha Hintz and
Blake Greenup both scored
eight points. Kelly Wilson
had five and C aitly n n

Union jumped out to a
21-10 lead after one quarter
and the Mustangs could
not make up the difference
the rest of the way. They
did keep it close for the
remaining three quarters as
the Bobcats only outscored
Heppner 37-32 to end the
game. Once again Lindsay
led the team in scoring with
14. Greenup finished the
night with 12 points.
The team has a record
of 8-11 for the season and
will host Irrigon and Grant

weekend by a total of four
points. They were beaten
by the Weston-McEwen
TigerScots 49-48 and the
Union Bobcats by a score
of 55-52.
It was a close game all
the way with the TigerScots
as the lead at the end of each
quarter was never more
than three points. Weston-
McEwen led 17-15 after
one quarter o f play and
27-24 at the half. They led
38-36 at the end of three
quarters and it stayed close

through the fourth quarter
as Patrick Collins injured
his leg. He was taken
off o f the court and then
transported to the hospital
in Pendleton. It was learned
later that he had fractured
his leg near the ankle and
may have tendon damage.
Patrick had been averaging
a double-double on the
season by scoring 17 points
a game and hauling down
10 rebounds.
H eppner fought on
without Collins and nearly
won the game. They had the
last possession of the game
but time ran out before the
Mustangs could get a shot
off.
Leading the way for the
Mustangs was Logan Grieb
with 15 points.
Grieb also had three

Jaden Orr scored two points
and had three rebounds
in the game, and Andrew
Hatfield also had three big
rebounds.
It was another close
game on Saturday night
as the M ustangs hosted
the U nion B obcats. It
was an emotional start to
the evening as teammate
Patrick Collins showed up
on crutches in the Mustang
locker room before the
game. He rem inded the
team to stay focused and to
play hard. Collins sat next
to the Mustang bench and
cheered his teammates on
during the contest.
