CARD OF THANKS
A BIG THANK YOU to
the Morrow County Fair
and Rodeo Queen Krysten
and mother Annette for
securing the donations for
the Past Queens and Courts
luncheon that was held at
the Catholic Parish Hall
after the Heppner parade
and the use of the hall by
the Catholic Church.. Also
thanks to Rita Bergstrom
and her helpers for locating
and sending the letters to
past court members. This
was a HUGE undertaking
and you did a great job.
And to the women in the
kitchen who prepared and
served the luncheon (it was
delicious).
From what I heard from
the w om en, it was a
great success. Everyone
enjoyed getting together
visiting and reliving old
memories. Our court of
1962, Q ueen M arlene
Fetsch Currin, Princesses,
Dianna Pettyjohn Hams,
Irene Potts Bundy, Jacquie
Brindle Myers and Diana
Fulleton Ball was lucky
enough to have all of our
court attending after 51
years. You never forget the
old royalty wave.... See you
at the next 100!!

On b eh alf o f the Past
Royalty I would like to
say "thank you" to the fair
board for thinking of them
to celebrate the 100th year
of the fair. A big "Thank
You" to Brian Thompson
for letting us use his truck
and trailer for the float
to ride on. I would also
like to thank Sheryll Bates
for all the help in getting
the royalty entered in the
parade and in order by the
years they served and all
the last minute changes,
even up until parade line.
Thank you
To 2013 Queen Krysten
Powell and her mother
Annette Wilgers Powell
(also past royalty) for
in c lu d in g us in th e
luncheon. Thank you to
the Catholic Church and the
Altar Society for the use of
the Parish Hall, setting up,
cooking, serv in g and
cleaning up after us for the
luncheon. Letting us get up
and talk and tell some of
our stories were wonderful.
The food and stories were
great. I would also like to
thank the ladies and their
families who donated the
use of their memorabilia
to share in the booth at
fair. I would like to thank
the rodeo committee for
having the reserved seating
for all of the past royalty
to be included in the rodeo
"run-in" Saturday night
and their names being read
by the announcer. I want
to thank the Past Royalty
Ladies for participating and
making the weekend a fun
and entertaining one. I had a
great time meeting you
and enjoying your stories
and m em ories o f time
spent on the Court. Thank
you to all of my behind
the scenes helpers, Hal
Bergstrom, Jean Collins,
Teresa Bedortha, Zech
Hintz, Emily Bergstrom
and anyone else I have
forgotten. "Thank You"
Sincerely Rita Bergstrom

We would like to thank
the Pettyjohn crew for the
nice breakfast that they
served the community on
Thursday.
Mom and I both went and
had a great time. The door
prizes were awesome. We
got to choose which boxes
to put our tickets in for
the drawings. We both
were winners in different
drawings as were many
others. John and Shelly
went over and above to
make it a special time for
all.
Thank you much,
Pam Piper
