Handlers say they are looking
forward to celebrating 100
years of the Morrow County
Fair and Rodeo.
The Hog Handlers are
wrapping up a busy year
that started in February
with monthly meetings of
club business, activities and
record keeping. Field trips,
car washes and a barbecue
also rounded out the year. The
Heppner Hog Handlers group
recently hosted a successful
livestock judging refresher
open to all 4-H members in
Morrow County, and they are
also planning on organizing
a 4-H members' float for the
parade this year. All Morrow
County 4-H members are
encouraged and welcome to
ride.
The members are currently
busy painting the ceiling in the
annex building with a new
bright coat o f white, along
with putting the finishing
touches on their hog projects.

It’s hard work getting the fairgrounds ready for the centennial fair.
Knowing that, most of the 2013 Morrow County Fair livestock exhibitors still pitched in a
few helping hands and joined fair staff in cleaning the 100 years of dust that has collected around
the grounds.
From painting to raking,
these students worked hard to
