We don't say thank you
enough anymore. THANK
YOU, THANK YOU,
THANK YOU. In this case,
it isn't enough to say thank
you.

We were very surprised

We forget how generous

how very lucky we are to

A pril 8, 2013 was
a life changing day for
the Bennett family. Mom
suffered a stroke sitting
at her kitchen table. My
dad was fortunately with
her, but he was unaware
of what was happening
inside my mom's brain.
She was paying bills when
she became very confused
and did not understand
how to pay a simple bill.
She felt tired and wanted
to go lay down and rest
for a while. Dad is very
attentive of my mom and
just felt like something
wasn't right. He convinced
mom to go with him to the
Pioneer Memorial Hospital
Emergency Room, where
upon arriving at the hospital
Mom received immediate
care from Dr. Anderson
and staff.
Our fam ily is very
fortunate that PMH has
the newest technology
with the new TeleMedicine
com puter system that
allows our professionals
here in Heppner to be one
on one with the Providence
Medical Health System
They were able to have
the very finest Stroke
Specialist view mom on a
robotic television screen
and then advise us on what
our choices of treatment
could be for the health of
Mom. After hearing the
pros and cons of a blood
clot dissolving drug, TPA,
my dad authorized the
professionals in Heppner
to administer the drug.
Mom was flown to Portland
Providence to be observed
for the-next few days. Mom
was the very first patient
in Heppner to receive
this treatment and use the
TeleMedicine system.
