lone chemistry class visits the PGE

lone High School students paid a visit to the PGE power
plant at Boardman
with so much knowledge
and with no fear to talk. Ev
eryone learned about which
machine does what, where
chemicals go, and what the
machine would eventually
produce.
After almost two
hours of “chalk talk,” the
class got to see what the
plant was all about. Look
ing at all the machines up
close was an amazing sight,
and walking up all those
steps and seeing that great
view of the entire plant was
astonishing. Mike Garret
then took the class to the
conference room to talk
about jobs and salaries.
The plant has a job
for everyone. There are
jobs available that require
2-4 years of college or even
no college experience. The
Coal Fired Plant was a great
place to visit and had im
