money for local resident
Heppner residents who
love softball have a great
opportunity to grab their
mitts and hit the field and
help a local resident as
well.
A one day co-ed soft-
ball tournament will be held
April 20 to raise money for
Shawn Kissler, a Heppner
resident who is fighting
cancer.
The tournament will be
held at the Heppner girl’s
softball field and will begin
at 10 a.m.
Teams will consist of
at least 9 players and there
must be a minimum of four
girls per team. Cost for
sponsoring a team is $200.
There will be a guy and girl
homerun derby for $ 10 buy
in and raffles will be held
throughout the tournament.

ferences on Friday, April 5, from 8 a.m. until noon and

teachers during these times.
Heppner Day Care and Preschool received a gener­
ous donation from St. Patrick’s Catholic Church recently.
The $400 donation came from monies raised from the
two performances of St. Columbanus held during the St.
Patrick's Day celebration.
