REQUEST FOR BIDS
M orrow County Public
Works is accepting bids
for the airlift removal of
a portion o f the existing
clock tower and bell from
the Morrow County Court­
house, located 100 S. Court
Street in Heppner, OR.
It is anticipated that two
separate lift dates, one for
the removal of the existing
structure and bell and one
for the placement o f the
reconstructed structure and
bell, will be required. Each
date will require 2 or more
lifts as determined by the
contractor.
The existing clock tower
structure to be removed is
estimated at 7,200 lbs. The
bell is estimated to weigh
3,050 lbs. The existing
tower structure and bell will
be prepared for removal by
others prior to the arrival
of the lift contractor. The
Contractor shall airlift the
structure and bell and lower
it to a location directly adja­
cent to the Courthouse.
On the second lift date,
the contractor shall airlift
the re-constructed tower
structure and bell back into
position on the Courthouse
building.
The contractor shall be
responsible for all rigging
associated with the lifts.
The Morrow County Court­
house is located approxi­
mately 8.9 air miles from
the Lexington, Or, Airport
(9S9).
Bids shall include all costs
associated with mobiliza­
tion for each separate lift
date and all costs associated
with rigging, lifting and
placing as directed. Dates
for lifts shall be coordinated
between the contractor and
the Morrow County Public
Works Dept.
The successful contractor
must have Worker’s Com­
pensation Insurance cover­
ing work in Oregon. The
successful contractor must
also submit documents ad­
dressing insurance, non­
collusion, tax law, debar­
ment, and conflict of inter­
est as part of the personal
services contract.

ceived at the Morrow Coun­
ty Public Works Office, P.O.
Box 428, 365 W. Hwy 74,
Lexington, OR 97839 by
4:00 pm February 26,2013.

will be opened and pub­
licly read on Wednesday
February 27, 2013 at 10:00
a.m. at the Morrow County
Court House located at

Shared ministry
celebrates new well
On Sunday, Feb. 24, the
Shared Ministry o f Hope
Lutheran Church and All
Saints Episcopal Church
will celebrate the comple­
tion of the well they recent­
ly funded in North India
with a potluck featuring the
food of India.
The celebration will be
held at All Saints beginning
about 11:30 a.m. (after the
10 a.m. worship service
concludes). Everyone is
welcome, and community
members are especially in­
vited to join in the fundrais­
ing efforts already under­
way to construct a second
well in another part of the
world.

all will be returning for the
2013 rodeo.
The Spray Rodeo was
also voted 2012 Indepen­
dent Rodeo o f the Year,
with a purse of more than
$900 in each event.
