Special youth elk hunt held T h e M o rro w /G ra n t County O ff Highway Ve h icle Park (M G C O H V ) hosted a special spike-only second season elk youth hunt Nov. 3-11. This hunt was through an application/ draw system that encour ages outdoor fam ily rec reation. This special hunt was designed as a way for the park to give back to Morrow and Grant county residents as, without their initial support, this park would not have been pos sible. This year there were six applicants from across M orrow County and one from Grant County. All sev en applicants were drawn and were sent packets with information pertaining to the hunt. The weather was cool with snow show ers throughout the season. A few reports from those who participated said that they saw signs or other animals, but no elk.
