Nominations will be accepted through December 21. Hie Town and Country Community Awards will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013, starting at 6 p.m. at the Morrow County Fair­ grounds. Thursday, November 29: Mark your calendar now for the upcoming Merchant Holiday Open House, with the Parade of Lights starting at 5:30 p.m., hanging of homemade ornaments hung on the tree outside of the post office by Heppner Day Care and HES students, and carolers walking around downtown. Pick up your parade entry form at the chamber office and participate in this great “wintery” event. Plan to stay and shop downtown and get a head start on Christmas presents. Sunday, December 9: “Christmas Is” commu­ nity program held at the - THREE Methodist Church with two performances, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets will be sold; more information at a later date. Thursday, December 20: Heppner’s Celebrate Christm as Community Event will be held at the M orrow County Fair- grounds starting at 6 p.m., with dinner and drawing of the rewards cards w in­ ners. raffle and penny board items starting at 7:30 p.m. Plan to come and spend a great evening with the rest of the community. Pictures with Santa will also be available. The H eppner High School’s Associated Stu­ dent Body officers will be providing a Christmas light hanging service for those who cannot do so them­ selves.
