position will be responsible
for developing w eekly
menus, following a meal
budget, purchasing food,
and all tasks associated with
meal preparation. Qualified
applicants must have one
year experience as a cook in
a commercial food service
facility, a high school
diplom a or equivalent,
a valid Oregon d riv er’s
license and be able to pass a
criminal history background
check. Wages are dependent
upon e x p e rie n c e and

The Boardman Cham­
ber o f Commerce will be
opening up a retail space
in the SAGE Center, .which
will open in March 2013.
The store at the SAGE
Center plans to offer a va­
riety of products ranging
from souvenirs to artwork
and gifts. The cham ber
hopes the store will expand
the SAGE Center experi­
ence, continue education
and enhance the knowledge,
appreciation and enjoyment
of the Port of Morrow.
To enhance the visitor’s
shopping experience, the
chamber would like to sell
original and handcrafted,
local artwork, including
but not limited to pottery,
photography and jewelry.

The Boardman chamber
will be contacting local art­
ists to submit their artwork
for consideration to be sold
in the store at SAGE Center
and would like as many op­
tions as possible. Anyone
who is or who knows a lo­
cal and talented artist and
would like to be considered
to have work displayed and
sold through the store at
SAGE Center, submit the
artist’s name and mailing
address so the chamber may
contact them.

A flu clinic is planned
for this Thursday, Oct. 11,
at Heppner City Hall from
8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Flu,
Tdap (diphtheria, tetanus
and pertussis/w hooping
cough) and pneum onia
shots will be available.
Anyone who doesn’t
have insurance will have
access to free flu and Tdap
shots.
A Boardman flu clinic
will be held at the Morrow
County Health Department
in Boardman on Monday,
Oct. 15, from 9 a.m. to
12:30 p.m. and from 1 to
7 p.m.
If anyone is physically
unable to attend one of the
flu clinics, they may call
541-676-5421 for other op­
tions to get a flu shot.
