    Family fun day Saturday
On Saturday, Sept. 29,
from noon until 6 p.m., area
churches, along with Herm-
iston churches and several
local agencies, will sponsor
a family fun day at the Mor­
row County Fairgrounds.
According to one pas­
tor involved in the plan­
ning, the event promises to
be “spectacular.” The fun
day will include special
music by recording artist
Jeff Colson and Charlie
Ross, both of whom have
been popular in previous
appearances locally. The
event will also feature fam­
ily activities, guest speakers
and displays, in addition
to barbecued hot dogs and
hamburgers. This event is
free to the community.
The follow ing day,
Sunday, Sept. 30, area
churches are planning a
community worship service
at 11 a.m. at the Morrow
County Fairgrounds. Area
ministers will be speaking,
and special music will be
provided by Charlie Ross and
Ira Owen.
