Heppner churches HHS alumni invited
to show Beth Moore to play in pep band
simulcast
Last Thursday morning, when most Gazette readers
hadn’t even read my appreciation letter, we received
another enormous donation of school supplies from the
Hope Lutheran and All Saints Episcopal churches. One
of the members told me they had been collecting supplies
all summer long. They even added some special materi
als for teachers. We were delighted to be honored with
such extras and, of course, some of the necessities of our
trade. We are fortunate to live in 1 leppner, where teachers
and students are not only remembered at this time of the
year, but made to feel appreciated and valued. Further
more, each member of the staff was given an adorable
homemade notepad from Kylee Disque.
Throughout the week, our generous community has
continued to drop off supplies and cash donations at the
elementary school. I wish 1 could find more words to ex
press our sincere gratitude for the outpour of supplies.
In closing. I would like to state that the organizations
and the individuals who contribute make our school sup
plies drive not just the best in Oregon, but the best in the
world.
