OREGON New picnic shelter to be dedicated during fair After a year o f waiting, working and planning. Morrow County residents will finally be able to lay eyes on the new covered picnic shelter at the Morrow County Fairgrounds. Everyone is invited to a ribbon cutting and dedication of the new shelter on Friday, Aug. 17 at 4:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds, 74473 Hwy. 74, Heppner. The groundbreaking for the covered picnic area took place last year during the fair. It seemed fitting to coordinators to bring the project full circle by showcasing the completed work at this year’s fair. The picnic shelter is the finished project o f the 2011 Morrow County Leadership Team.
