Com m unity Counseling
Solutions, a community
mental health program that
provides comprehensive
services in Eastern Oregon,
has a position opening for
Clinical Director. This
position will be based in
Boardman Oregon, and will
oversee clinical services
in Morrow, Wheeler and
Gilliam Counties. Clinical
services include, but are
not limited to: outpatient
a d u lt and c h i ld r e n ’s
mental health treatment,
outpatient adolescent and
adult addictions treatment,
gambling treatment, quality
a s s u ra n c e , c o n tra c te d
providers and peer delivered
services. This position may
from time to time carry a
small caseload.
A strong background in
outpatient mental health
and addictions treatment is
required for this position. As
such, knowledge of various
evidence based practices is
essential. Individual will
need to work positively
and effectiv ely w ith a
wide variety of community
partners. Individual will
need to work to diversify
the service array for the
re s id e n ts o f M orrow ,
W h ee ler and G illia m
Counties. Some duties
include: supervision, report
preparation, u tilization
review, preauthorization,
s c h e d u lin g , h irin g ,
term ination, individual/
group/family counseling,
adherence to administrative
ru les and c o n tra c tu a l
obligations, and work with
various advisory boards.
This demanding position
requires that the individual
be able to multi-task and
follow through thoroughly.

communication is a must.
This individual will need
to be able to carry out
the m ission, philosophy
and quality services that
CCS delivers, as well as
adhere to a high standard of
professionalism and ethical
behavior. The qualified
candidate needs to be able
to w ork in d ep en d en tly
with minimal supervision
and will be required to
participate in the supervisor
on call schedule for crisis
services.
This salaried position is
overseen by the Executive
D irector o f Comm unity
Counseling Solutions. The
salary range for this position
is $52,000 -$78,000, based
upon the in d iv id u a l’s
education and experience.
Minimum requirements for
this position include that the
individual be licensed as a
PhD, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
and have a minimum of five
(5) years o f responsible
experience in management
and s u p e rv is io n in a
hum an services related
field or, a com bination
o f formal education and
supervisory experience that
is demonstrably equivalent.

Sheriff’s Report
The M orrow
County S heriff’s Office
reports handling the fol­
lowing business:

N o v e m b e r 9:
-MCSO officer advised
that he was out at Pioneer
Memorial Hospital regard­
ing a hit and run.
-MCSO received a
complaint from a woman in
Irrigon who said her neigh­
bor’s dog killed another
neighbor’s Chihuahua.
-MCSO received a
report of a hatchback sitting
in the middle of the road
in Irrigon; the driver was
leaning over with his head
down.
-BPD issued a cita­
tion to a 29-year-old male
for criminal trespass II. He
was cited to appear at Ir­
rigon Justice Court.
N o v e m b e r 12:
-MCSO deputy out mak­
ing contact in Heppner
where fence is down. No
one home. Looks like the
wind knocked it down.
-MCSO received
a report from a woman in
Heppner that she found a
Corgi in the street close to
the motel. The dog has no
collar. She has him in the
bathroom and he is safe.
-A w om an from
Irrigon called MCSO to
report that the neighbor
children found a cat in the
field by her residence. She
will try to find a place for it
to go or find someone who
is going to Hermiston to
drop it off at Pet Rescue.
She will call back when she
finds out.
-A man from Lex­
ington called MCSO and
stated that there were 2-3
teenagers peeping in his
window. He didn't know
who they were; one was
wearing camo paint on his
face. Thinks they’re still in
the area. Officer was unable
to locate teenagers.
-A c a l l e r from
Boardm an advised the
MCSO that a male had
threatened suicide. He had
been taking unknown drugs
and appeared incoherent;
he had weapons in the resi­
dence. Contacted the sub­
ject, who said he had a dis­
agreement with the caller
and said things he shouldn’t
have; had no intention of
harming himself.
-MCSO received
a report from a woman in
Heppner who said a yellow
dog ran through her yard
headed uptown; the dog is
out all the time.
-MCSO received a
report of a fire on the comer
of Fourth and California in
Irrigon. Caller said the fire
was going down the road.
-Caller on 1-84 near
Boardman advised MCSO
that a white van was all over
the road. Advised it was
possibly the wind. Deputy
made contact and it was,
indeed, the wind.

made contact with the
driver of a vehicle. He was
tired, so he pulled over to
take a nap.
- BP D r e c e i v e d
a call from a woman in
Boardman who said her
husband woke her up advis­
ing her he needed to go to
the hospital. He has been
feeling ill that last couple of
days. No vomit and no pain.
Weak; skin feels normal;
breathing fine; coherent and
talking fine; no numbness.
-BPD issued a ci­
tation to Christian Omar
Valencia Bedolla, 23, for
failure to obey traffic con­
trol device.
-BPD issued a cita­
tion to Santos Israel Bar­
rera, 46, for no operator’s
license. Subject was also
warned for failure to main­
tain lane and failure to carry
proof of insurance.
N o v e m b e r 16:
-MCSO received,a report
of a dog that had been bark­
ing for about half an hour.
Caller doesn’t want contact,
just want them to stop the
barking.
-MCSO received
a report of possible child
neglect in Irrigon.
-A caller from Ir­
rigon advised MCSO that
she was buying a car in the
Tri-Cities and the registra­
tion she has doesn't match
the VIN on the vehicle.
Requested contact at her
residence.
-MCSO received a
report of a garage on fire in
Irrigon. Vehicles and boat
in the garage. Ambulance
and fire responded. A bum
victim was transported to
Good Shepherd Hospital.
-An Irrigon woman
reported to MCSO that a
puppy showed up at her
door without a collar. She
would like it picked up.
The puppy was taken to Pet
Rescue.
-MCSO received a
report of a white SUV all
over the road near Board-
man. It was crossing both
center and fog lines and
couldn’t maintain a consis­
tent speed.
-A woman called
BPD from Boardman and
advised them that a man
was a dangerous person
and needed to be arrested.
Requested law enforcement
contact.
N o v e m b e r 18:
-Hermiston PD arrested
Gustavo Franco-Berrera,
20, on a Morrow County
Circuit Court warrant for
probation violation.
-An Irrigon man
called MCSO and request­
ed contact from a deputy.
Deputy made contact and
the man advised that his
girlfriend and him had an
argument and he needed
to talk to a deputy about
it, but it could wait until
morning.
-MCSO received a
call from a man who said he
wanted to get his vehicle out
of impound; he wrecked the
vehicle earlier in the month
and got a DUII arrest. Sub­
ject had a signed title that
did not have his signature
on it. It was insured in his
name. He was advised he
had two choices: get the
owner to come down with
him to get the vehicle or
get his name on the title. He
asked to talk to a different
deputy. He was advised he
could talk with the deputy
on duty or wait until the
deputy he wanted came on.
He said the deputy on duty
was fine.
-A woman in Irri­
gon called MCSO to advise
that her dog attacked her
eight-year-old daughter in
their own yard.
-A woman in Hep­
pner requested a cat trap
be brought to her residence
when available.
