2011 Parade of
Light winners

The Heppner Chamber of Commerce announces
the winners for the 2011 Parade o f Lights.
The winning commercial entry is the Bank of
Easter Oregon. The bank will receive the trophy to display
until next year’s parade.
The individual winner, and recipient of a $25
prize, is Fletcher Boys Come to Town for Christmas.
The winners in the school category, and recipients
of $25 prizes, are the Heppner Junior High ë^-grade class,

Irrigon man graduates
from basic training
Army Pvt. Brandon C. Jacobs has graduated from
basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.
Jacobs is the son of Marcy Jacobs o f Irrigon.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier
studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core
values, and physical fitness.
