4-H Enrollment begins October 1

viting families to join 4-H,
“the nation's largest, out
o f school, positive youth
development organization.”
4-H enrollment for the year
begins October 1.
“For more than 100
years, 4-H has offered op
portunities for youth and
families to master new chal
lenges, experience growing
independence, feel a sense
o f belonging, and to give
back to our communities,”
said the M orrow County
office.
“4-H is a positive
youth development program
and can provide partnership
opportunities with families
and volunteers to create an
educational atmosphere within
various project areas,” said
the Extension news release.
“These projects are tools to
help youth learn life skills
through competition, team
work, community service,
challenges, and success.
Through the 4-H experience.
members have potential to
grow in knowledge, skill, citi
zenship, and leadership. 4-H
opportunities include: working
with adult volunteers; work
ing with a diverse group o f
youth as a team; feeling a
sense o f accomplishment,
developing and practicing
leadership; receiving rec
ognition for their efforts;
participating, at all levels,
in a safe environment; pro
viding service to others; and
having fun”

dues are $5 per m em ber
and state member dues are
$ 15 per member with a $30
